Start your future with BorgWarner now!\nJob purpose\nAs a Product Support Engineer (R&D) - System Software you will support the production, launch, and lifecycle management of automotive power electronics products by providing technical expertise in system and software troubleshooting, production releases, and manufacturing support while acting as a key interface between Manufacturing Plant functions and Product Engineering teams.\nKey responsibilities\nAct as the primary technical interface between the manufacturing plant and Product Engineering teams for product issues.\nCoordinate rapid engineering responses and support root cause investigations, containment actions, and corrective measures for design-related issues.\nSupport product launches, SOP, and serial production activities.\nLead system and software support activities related to production releases and manufacturing deployment.\nSupport software, system, and product releases into production environments.\nSupport troubleshooting of manufacturing, EOL test, and supplier-related issues.\nAnalyze software, source code, and system-related issues on test benches and production equipment.\nSupport software and systems engineers in debugging, issue investigation, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.\nSupport the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of automation scripts and software components (e.g., Perl, DLLs) used on test systems and production equipment.\nSupport warranty and field issue investigations related to product design and system functionality.\nIdentify recurring technical issues, provide lessons learned, and feedback to Product Engineering teams.\nParticipate in DFM/DFA activities and support FMEA reviews to improve product robustness and manufacturability.\nWhat we’re looking for\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Software Engineering, or a related field.\nExperience in automotive product development and manufacturing support.\nKnowledge of Systems Engineering, requirements management, and Automotive SPICE (ASPICE).\nExperience with embedded software development, software debugging, code analysis, and AUTOSAR.\nKnowledge of power electronics, traction inverters, and electric drive systems.\nUnderstanding of Functional Safety (ISO 26262), FMEA, and root cause analysis methodologies.\nFamiliarity with manufacturing processes, EOL testing, and production troubleshooting.\nExperience with MATLAB/Simulink, Polarion, CANoe, CANape, CAPL, and similar engineering tools.\nKnowledge of scripting and test automation solutions (e.g., Perl, DLL-based applications) - preferred\nEffective communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional teams.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nOrganized and structured work style with attention to detail.\nWillingness to travel occasionally to manufacturing plants, tech centers, and customer locations.\nFluency in English is required.
