Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nStandard duties :\nThe QE will act as the liaison between manufacturing and the customer, ensuring that the overall customer quality and regulatory requirements and expectations are met.\nFacilitate all quality-related activities associated with customer product introductions within APQP. \nEnsure PPAP target dates are successfully met. \nProactively work with customers to minimize and/or eliminate issues. \nCreate and submit PPAP to customers. \nResponsible for ensuring all PPAP requirements are met, and documentation is up to date and on file. \nUnderstand and comply with customer specific requirements as applicable. \nEnsure compliance with special characteristic requirements. \nCustomer quality liaison and scorecard improvement champion \nLead problem solving and risk assessments. \nUse of statistical analysis tools and methods for problem solving \nFacilitate resolution of proactive quality initiatives, continuous improvement, preventative actions, mistake-proofing, etc. \nFacilitate resolutions of reactive quality initiatives; containment, root-cause, corrective actions, customer issues, etc. \nFacilitate and participate in quality metrics reporting and communication. \nLead First Pass Yield (FPY) and scrap reduction improvements. \nCoach and mentor individuals and cross-functional teams in quality systems, tools, and philosophies \nApproval of all product and process changes (Supplier, Customer, and Internal changes, and deviations, etc.) to ensure customer requirements and expectations are met, verification that changes are correctly implemented, and product integrity is maintained. \nMonitor processes (through auditing, metrics, etc.) to ensure product conformance. \nSupport external audit activities relative to product requirements. \nResponsible for verification of corrective actions \nLead MSA and gauging improvement \nOther projects and priorities as assigned by the Plant Quality Manager \nSafety and Physical Requirements:\nAll employees are responsible for knowing, understanding, and complying with the safety policies and procedures. \nWear PPE when appropriate in designated areas. \nLifting shoulder high up to 35 lbs. on occasion. \nKey Competencies\nCustomer Focus \nDecision Quality \nPriority Setting \nProblem Solving \nProcess Management \nDrive for Results \nFunctional Technical Skills \nEducation & Experience\nBachelor’s degree preferred, preferably in Engineering disciple. \n5 years’ experience required. \nEquivalent industry experience of 4+ years is highly desirable. \nKnowledge in manufacturing problem solving (8-D Methodology) and processes required. \nDemonstrated working knowledge of core quality tools including Control Plans, Process Flow, FMEA, MSA, SPC \nEffective at defining problems, collecting data, analyzing data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions. \nEffective presentation skills and professional verbal and written communication skills \nHighly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint \nCoPilot AI experience preferred \nStatistical analysis experience preferred. \nTrained Auditor (IATF16949 preferred) \nStrong understanding and experience of working to IATF16949 and related standards. \nShainin RedX Apprentice or Journeyman is a plus. \n-Internal Use Only: SalaryGlobal Terms of Use and Privacy Statement\nCarefully read the BorgWarner Privacy Policy before using this website.
