You will be responsible for providing technical leadership and coordination of the product over the full product development life cycle from concept to serial production.\nAs the Electrical Hardware Development lead you will create the technical specifications for the HW, which will be developed by a supplier. During the product development life cycle, technical as well as project coordination and communication skills are equally important for the project’s success. You will be main interface to customers and suppliers for both internal and external projects for all electrical hardware related topics. You will be responsible for ensuring HW deadlines, deliverables, and quality targets are achieved while adhering to product development processes and standards. In your daily work you will also interact with different roles and functions within the company like purchasing, sales, project management, SW and quality.\nKey Accountabilities\nProvide project management and technical leadership of the electrical HW in the execution of customer programs and internal development projects.\nReview, monitoring, and approval of ECU HW development and timing plans.\nDevelopment of HW specifications from customer and internal requirements.\nReview and approval of supplier design.\nSupplier planning, management, and oversight.\nECU prototype and production release process.\nReview and approval of validation testing plan and report.\nTechnical customer contact for BorgWarner HW related topics.\nSupport internal departments (Quality, Mechanical, SW, Purchasing and sales).\nHW compliance to customer specification.\nFacilitate the investigation, root cause analysis, resolution development, and manage the closure of all relevant program/product issues in support of product development, production, line returns, warranty returns and service issues.\nQualifications & Requirements\nBachelor degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree, Master’s degree preferred.\nSolid experience developing embedded systems; automotive and powertrain experience preferred. \nExcellent organizational, time management and communication (verbal and written) skills.\nStrong project planning and management throughout the complete Electronic Control Unit development life-cycle.\nCandidate has experience in embedded electronics design.\nElectronics detailed understanding (schematic, layout, component knowledge)\nElectronics thermal management and electronics packaging\nMotor drive electronics\nElectronic system validation and verification lead (EMC, environmental and electrical)\nElectronics production knowledge is preferred\nQuality handling, 8D, APQP, and DFMEA is preferred.\nFunctional Safety (ISO26262) knowledge is preferred.\nProficient in English Language required.\nKey Competencies\nCustomer Focus\nPriority Setting\nInforming\nBuilding Effective Teams\nConflict Management\nOrganizational Agility\nDrive for Results\nInterpersonal Savvy\nListening\n-Internal Use Only: SalaryGlobal Terms of Use and Privacy Statement\nCarefully read the BorgWarner Privacy Policy before using this website.
