Report tooling problems to shift leaders or other relevant parties in a timely manner.\n\nEnsure successful operation of production equipment to obtain the optimum efficiencies during production.\n\nConsistent adherence to quality standards.\n\nAdherence to cleanliness and functionality of the cell/unit in line with 5S and TPM guidelines.\n\nPromote a greater level of working awareness with regards to quality standards and overall professionalism and work ethic.\n\nSupport Quality Engineers to investigate, collate and report on reducing scrap and rework within the cells.\n\nHelp Manufacturing Engineers and Maintenance to improve cell functions.\n\nWork with Manufacturing Engineers to maximize overall operational performance.\n\nAssist with the development of Apprentices in accordance with the relevant training program.\n\nMaintain high levels of positivity, professionalism and a positive work ethic.\n\nKnowledge & Experience:\nEngineering Apprentice trained to national standard or equivalent\n\nMinimum of two years machining experience in the relevant working nit, or two years in similar operating environments.\n\nCNC machining experience preferred.\n\nGood communication skills\n\nAbility to demonstrate good organisational and setting skills\n\nAbility to give tutoring to colleagues and apprentices who pass through the cell/unit.\n\nAbility to maintain high levels of professionalism and a positive work ethic.\n\nWorking Environment\nControlled factory environment, with some Health & Safety risks.\nPPE will be required to be worn.\nOther Duties Required\nAny other reasonable duty as may be assigned that is consistent with the nature of the job and its level of responsibility.\nThe duties are set out in the above job description but please note that BorgWarner reserve the right to update this job description, from time to time, to reflect changes in the job role.\n-Internal Use Only: Direct HourlyGlobal Terms of Use and Privacy Statement\nCarefully read the BorgWarner Privacy Policy before using this website.
