It provides regional/global leadership in the implementation, execution and enforcement of global commodity quality strategies in support of business growth.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupplier Quality Strategy:\nCreate, communicate, execute and maintain global supplier quality strategy for commodity\nCreate and implement Supplier Vetting Strategy, Supplier Capability Assessment, Supplier Selection (Pre-Sourcing) and Development Strategy, and Key Supplier Performance Metrics\nIn collaboration with Global Commodity Manager, develop and implement supplier quality roadmap\nCreate and implement global commodity quality requirements\nBenchmark suppliers on Best in Commodity production strategies\nIdentify new technologies that support BorgWarner's growth and product leadership position in the market\nIdentify and develop Suppliers that meet and/or exceed PDS long-term expectations that result in a differentiation in the marketplace. \nCreate supplier quality vetting strategies:\nDevelop processes, and roadmaps for vetting process in respective commodity\nExecute and assess supplier capability\nExecute global quality assessment and Training of suppliers and BW SDE-Semiconductors\nTrack and communicate global commodity industry trends, manufacturing strategies, technology factors and opportunities in the global market place.\nEstablish KPI to monitor supplier performance over mid and long-term\nSupplier Development:\nCenter of Expertise for manufacturing processes of the respective commodity (SEMICONDUCTORS)\nDevelop model for compliance matrix and assess supplier’s competencies to assure quality competitiveness in pursuit of new business opportunities.\nOwns and governs the supplier quality vetting and selection framework, with authority to approve or escalate sourcing decisions based on risk, capability, and strategic fit\nCollaborates cross-functionally with Global Commodity Management, Engineering, Program Management, and Plant Operations to drive supplier performance, change management, resolve systemic quality issues, and influence sourcing decisions to improve Quality/Cost/Time\nIdentify quality improvement opportunities. Support and drive continuous improvement programs at suppliers and within BorgWarner\nEstablish and lead supplier technical site assessment. Coordinate and perform supplier process audits, corrective action audits, and quality assessment including new supplier assessments in cooperation with SCM and Engineering\nParticipate and support key supplier sourcing process\nLead resolution of quality issues with suppliers.
