Preparing tax returns, conducting tax research, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.\nReport to the financial supervisor and collaborate with various departments to optimize tax strategies and minimize liabilities.\nKEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:\nPrepare and submit federal, state, and local tax returns in an accurate and timely manner.\nConduct in-depth tax research to ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations.\nAnalyse financial statements and other documents to identify potential tax issues and opportunities.\nAssist in the development and implementation of tax planning strategies to optimize tax liabilities.\nMonitoring changes in tax legislation and assessing their impact on the organization.\nRespond to tax-related inquiries and communicate with tax authorities when necessary.\nKeep detailed and accurate tax and accounting records.\nSupport internal and external audits by providing tax-related information and documentation.\nCollaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and consistent financial reporting.\nManage and coordinate the type of movements in each of the general ledger accounts.\nManaging and monitoring the status of the general ledger accounts and ensuring proper support for the movements made.\nProviding monthly reconciliations.\nProviding guidance and training to other team members on tax matters.\nJob Requirements\nBachelor’s degree in: Finance, Accounting, Management, or related field required. Master´s degree highly desired.\nCertified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.\nMinimum of 5 years related work experience in Accounting.\nExperience in the automotive industry or related field preferred.\nGood Knowledge of SAP ERP Systems.\nKnowledge of international accounting standards, such as US GAAP and SOX, will be considered a plus.\nMust have intermediate- to advanced-level software skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)\nGood interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills required.\nGood English language skills (spoken and written).\nProficiency level Portuguese (spoken and written).\n-Internal Use Only: SalaryGlobal Terms of Use and Privacy Statement\nCarefully read the BorgWarner Privacy Policy before using this website.
