We are looking for candidates who want to shape and drive innovation at Bosch.\n A Facility Engineer is an individual contributor in a multidisciplinary field of engineering concerned with the physical infrastructure of an industrial facility. Facility Engineers are responsible for the design, installation, operation, maintenance, modification, construction, modernization, design and protection of physical facilities and equipment (ultrapure water, wastewater treatment, chemical and gas distribution, air abatement, etc.) used to produce quality products.\nResponsibilities\nWork with vendors to start up and install new equipment at Bosch Roseville.\nAssist in design reviews for facilities systems by providing input, documenting comments, and helping make sure designs meet operational and safety requirements.\nPrepare designs, layouts, drawings, and bills of material for major maintenance, facility improvements, and other projects.\nModify existing equipment and systems for the purpose of improving efficiency, safety, reliability, capacity, and cost effectiveness.\nTroubleshoot electrical or mechanical issues with facility systems.\nDevelop corrective action proposals and recommendations.\nProvide standard operating procedures and specifications governing the operation and maintenance of facility systems and equipment.\nProvide instructions and job safety analysis for special projects and hazardous work.\nEnsure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, statutes, and codes; securing all required permits in a timely manner; and coordinating with appropriate local authorities.\nCoordinate shut down activities and repairs to minimize downtime of production.\nInitiate and implement continuous improvement programs using metrics and reporting systems.\nTrain facilities mechanics as needed on systems to improve 24x7 response time.\n BS degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or the equivalent in education and relevant work experience required.\nMust have the ability to multitask and work under pressure.\nStrong ability to read, understand, and interpret technical documents and manuals.\nAbility to create and maintain operating and training documents and manuals.\nStrong communications skills with various audiences from vendors to fellow engineers to operators.\nStrong computer skills in Microsoft applications-Word, Excel, PowerPoint\nBasic understanding of water treatment, hydronics, or industrial utilities.\nAbility to read mechanical/electrical drawings and P&IDs.\nPreferred Qualifications\n Experience in design, operation, and troubleshooting ultrapure water and waste water treatment, control systems, or chemical and gas distribution systems.\n480 and/or 208-volt power distribution experience.\nControl systems troubleshooting experience.\nKnowledge of Arc Flash Safety requirements.\nEquipment commissioning and construction management experience desired.\nWork experience in a clean room desired.\nFamiliarity with variable frequency drives (i.e. ABB, Toshiba) and PLC/SCADA platforms.\nUnderstanding of ISO requirements.\nExperience in scope of work review and bidding process.\nStrong understanding of piping system component function and hydronics principles.\nThis role will work on site in Roseville, CA.\nThis position works Monday- Friday, additional hours as needed\nIndefinite US work authorized individuals only. The base salary range for this position is $80,000-$90,000.
