With over 27,000+ associates, it’s the largest software development center of Bosch, outside Germany, indicating that it is the Technology Powerhouse of Bosch in India with a global footprint and presence in the US, Europe and the Asia Pacific region.\n About the Role\nWe are looking for a Senior Automotive Audio Software Developer with strong hands-on experience in Android Automotive/AOSP and QNX-based embedded platforms.\nThe candidate will design, develop, integrate, and debug automotive audio software across the complete stack, covering Android Audio Framework, Audio HAL, audio middleware/management, QNX, and underlying hardware interfaces.\nThe role requires strong Modern C++, embedded-system fundamentals, system-level debugging capability, and a good understanding of Automotive Infotainment audio architecture.\nKey Responsibilities\nAnalyze and refine requirements for automotive audio software components.\nDesign and develop embedded audio software using Modern C/C++.\nDevelop, customize, and debug Android/AOSP Audio Framework and Audio HAL components.\nDevelop and maintain QNX/POSIX-based audio middleware, audio services and audio-management components.\nWork with POSIX concepts including multithreading, IPC, synchronization, shared memory, message queues and sockets.\nIntegrate audio software with DSP frameworks, OS services, HAL and hardware interfaces.\nAnalyze complex issues across Application Framework/Middleware , HAL, OS, DSP , Hardware layers.\nSupport platforms bring-up, integration, validation, and customer-specific audio configurations.\nPrepare and review high-level and low-level software designs, including UML-based designs.\nPerform unit testing using frameworks such as Google Test/GTest and contribute to CI/CD activities.\nParticipate in design and code reviews and drive clean-code and software-quality practices\nProvide technical guidance to team members and support cross-functional teams in resolving complex audio issues.\nWhat We’re Looking For\nMust-Have Technical Skills - Embedded C++ 11/14/17 programming skills. Strong understanding of object-oriented design, STL, memory management, multithreading, concurrency and synchronization.\nQNX Hands-on development experience on QNX-based embedded systems. Experience with QNX-based audio middleware/audio-management components.\nUnderstanding QNX Sound Architecture and device-driver concepts is beneficial.\nAutomotive Audio : Good understanding of audio routing and management, Audio streaming, Audio device handling Low latency audioInternal/external amplifiers DSP integration\nStrong system-level debugging and problem-solving skills.\nAndroid Automotive AudioHands-on experience with AOSP/Android Audio Framework.\nExperience with: AudioFlinger / AudioPolicyManager / AudioPolicyService / AudioManager / AudioService / Car Audio Framework / Audio routing and device management / Audio HAL / AIDL / HIDL\nStrong Android debugging using logcat, bug reports and Tombstone logs.\nFamiliarity with ALSA/TinyALSA and PCM/audio streaming is advantageous.\nGood understanding of embedded systems and RTOS concepts.\n B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Telecommunication, or a related engineering discipline\n Exp- 5-9 years\nExperience with Qualcomm automotive audio architecture and DSP frameworks.\nExperience with Hypervisor-based IVI architecture.\nHands-on knowledge of tools such as QACT/QXDM and Qualcomm ACDB.\nKnowledge of low-level audio interfaces such as I2S\nKnowledge of audio DSP processing, effects and tuning. Understanding of CAN/vehicle signals influencing audio behavior.\nExperience with UML/design tools and software design patterns.
