You will combine acoustic testing, experimental measurements, and data analysis to evaluate the performance of appliances and components and support the development of improved acoustic solutions for heat pump applications. Your main responsibilities will be:\nAcoustic Testing: Develop and execute acoustic tests on heat pump appliances and components to evaluate their performance and correct functioning.\n\nAcoustic Measurements & Data Acquisition: Prepare experimental setups, perform acoustic measurements, and collect high-quality data to support technical analysis and development activities.\n\nData Analysis: Analyse and interpret acoustic test results, identify relevant behaviours and trends, and translate findings into clear technical conclusions.\n\nTechnical Studies & Documentation: Prepare technical studies, test reports, and documentation based on experimental results to support engineering decisions and product development.\n\nAcoustic Performance Assessment: Evaluate the influence of new methods, materials, and design solutions on the acoustic performance of heat pump systems.\n\nAppliance & Component Validation: Support the validation of developed appliances and components from an acoustic performance perspective through structured testing and analysis.\n\nTest Execution: Conduct testing activities according to defined guidelines, internal rules, procedures, and test methodologies.\n\nAcoustic Optimization: Contribute to the improvement of heat pump acoustic behaviour by identifying potential areas for optimization based on experimental testing and analysis.\n\n What distinguishes you:\nEducation: Master’s degree or PhD in Acoustical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field, with a strong interest in acoustics, vibration, and experimental testing.\n\nPhysics & Mathematics: Strong understanding of physics and mathematics, with the ability to apply fundamental principles to engineering and acoustic problems.\n\nAcoustics: Good understanding of acoustic principles and wave propagation. Knowledge of acoustics and/or psychoacoustics is considered a strong advantage.\n\nTesting & Experimentation: Understanding of testing techniques and methodologies, with experience preparing experimental setups and performing tests.\n\nRotating Machines: Understanding rotating machines and their relevance to mechanical and acoustic behaviour.\n\nData Acquisition & Analysis: Experience with data acquisition and analysis, including the interpretation of experimental results.\n\nHardware & Laboratory Environment: Experience working with hardware and/or conducting testing activities in a laboratory environment.\n\nDigital Tools: Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and OneNote.
