Join us and see the difference.\nWork #LikeABosch\n We are currently looking for an Electronics Hardware Design Engineer - Automotive Powertrain to join our team.\nAs an Electronics Hardware Design Engineer - Automotive Powertrain within our Hardware Development and Testing Group, you will play a key role in defining, designing, validating, documenting, and releasing innovative electronic hardware solutions for advanced powertrain applications. Your work will contribute to electronic control units for passenger and commercial vehicles developed for leading OEMs worldwide.\nIn your role you will:\nDesign and develop automotive electronic hardware solutions from concept through series production.\n\nCreate hardware architectures and detailed circuit designs for powertrain-related electronic systems.\n\nSelect and evaluate electronic components considering cost, performance, reliability, availability, and automotive qualification requirements.\n\nDesign analog, digital, mixed-signal, power supply, and communication circuits.\n\nDevelop solutions utilizing automotive microcontrollers, gate drivers, power semiconductors, and protection circuits.\n\nDefine test cases and execute design-validation activities, collaborating with dedicated testing teams to improve coverage and efficiency.\n\nDevelop and maintain hardware documentation in accordance with Automotive SPICE processes.\n\nSupport released designs throughout series production by evaluating supplier change notifications and managing component changes, discontinuations, and obsolescence risks.\n\nTools and technologies:\nCircuit and system simulation tools such as LTspice, PSpice, MATLAB, Simulink or similar.\n\nSchematic capture and PCB layout using Altium, Zuken, KiCad or similar tools.\n\nLaboratory instrumentation (oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads, power analyzers, logic analyzers, climatic chambers and related laboratory equipment).\n\n Minimum five years of experience in automotive electronics hardware design.\n\nBachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or a comparable technical field.\n\nProven experience developing automotive electronic control units (ECUs).\n\nExperience across the complete product development lifecycle, from concept to series production.\n\nStrong knowledge of:\n\nAnalog and digital circuit design.\n\nPower electronics fundamentals.\n\nMicrocontroller-based systems.\n\nAutomotive communication interfaces (CAN, LIN, SPI, UART, I²C).\n\nSignal conditioning circuits.\n\nPower supply architectures.\n\nProtection and diagnostics concepts.\n\nAutomotive development processes and standards, including Automotive SPICE, ISO 26262, and relevant hardware quality processes.\n\nSoft skills:\nStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.\n\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills.\n\nAbility to work independently while contributing effectively within global multidisciplinary teams.\n\nStructured and detail-oriented working style.\n\nProactive mindset with a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction.\n\nAbility to mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical knowledge sharing.\n\nLanguages: English proficiency is required.\n\nNice to have:\nExperience in high-voltage electronics hardware design.\n\nExperience with battery management systems.\n\n LikeABosch Benefits:\nYour work-life balance is valuable to us, so we offer you:\n25 Days of annual leave, because work-life balance is essential to us. \nFlexible working hours.\nYour health and well-being is important to us, so we have you covered:\nMedical subscription;\nAccident insurance;\nSport activities and well-being initiatives.\nWe believe in a Life-Long Learning approach, so you can take advantage of:\nTechnical and soft skills trainings;\nAccess to e-learning platforms;\nLocal and Global career development programs;\nOpportunity to attend conferences;\nBookster subscription.\nYou will be part of a product company.
