As an AI-Assisted Software Engineering Intern, you will contribute to the development of innovative AI-powered solutions that support software engineers throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Working alongside experienced engineers, you will research, prototype, and evaluate technologies that help improve development efficiency, software quality, and developer experience.\nIn this role, you will:\nResearch emerging AI-assisted software engineering workflows and identify opportunities to apply Generative AI across the SDLC.\nDesign and develop automated solutions using LLM APIs, prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI agents, and context-window optimization techniques.\nSupport the integration of AI-powered tools into software development workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments.\nDefine and implement metrics to evaluate the impact of AI solutions on productivity, software quality, usability, and adoption.\nCollaborate with software engineers to gather feedback, validate concepts, and continuously improve developed solutions.\nContribute through code reviews, technical documentation, demonstrations, and knowledge-sharing activities.\nExplore and evaluate emerging AI technologies and translate them into practical developer tools.\n What distinguishes you?\nEducation:\nFinal-year Bachelor's or Master's student, or recent graduate (less than one year), in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.\nExperience:\nInitial academic, personal, or internship experience in software development or AI-related projects.\nExposure to Generative AI technologies and modern software development practices is advantageous.\nKnow-how:\nKnowledge of Python programming; experience with C or C++ is a plus.\nFamiliarity with some of the following areas: LLM APIs, prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI agents, CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, or AI-assisted development tools.\nUnderstanding of software development processes and developer workflows.\nLanguages:\nGood communication skills in English, both written and spoken.\nWorking Style and Methods:\nStructured and analytical approach to problem-solving.\nAbility to learn independently and experiment with new technologies.\nInterest in transforming innovative AI concepts into practical engineering solutions.\nPersonality:\nCurious, proactive, and eager to learn.\nCollaborative team player with strong communication skills.\nPassionate about software engineering, emerging technologies, and continuous improvement.\nWhat you can expect to learn\nHow Generative AI can enhance software engineering activities across the Software Development Life Cycle.\nHow to design, build, and integrate AI-powered developer tools using LLMs, RAG, AI agents, cloud services, and CI/CD platforms.\nHow to measure the impact of AI solutions through meaningful metrics and developer-centric evaluations.\nHow to bring innovative ideas from research and prototyping to adoption in real-world software development environments.\nHow AI-driven engineering practices are applied in an international industrial environment.\nAt Bosch, we value diversity and equal opportunities.
