This role is highly hands-on and customer-facing, requiring strong technical aptitude, flexibility, and a willingness to travel. The Field Service Technician plays a key role in ensuring system performance, customer satisfaction, and long-term service partnerships.\nKey Responsibilities\nProvide on-site support at customer locations to diagnose, repair, and commission hydraulic and electro-hydraulic components and systems.\nTroubleshoot customer machinery and system performance issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.\nDevelop specialized knowledge of industrial hydraulic and electro-hydraulic machinery and apply this expertise to meet customer requirements.\nUtilize computerized hydraulic diagnostic tools to verify system functionality and control performance.\nSupport system testing, commissioning, and validation both in-house and at customer sites.\nProactively address and resolve complex customer issues and service-related concerns.\nIdentify and communicate potential service opportunities or new business needs observed at customer sites.\nCollaborate with Field Service, Inside Service, and other internal teams to ensure effective communication and coordinated customer support.\nProvide labor support to the Bethlehem service shop during peak demand periods, as needed.\nPrepare detailed field service reports, including work performed, materials used, labor hours, and expenses.\nSupport other technicians remotely or on-site to ensure timely issue resolution and knowledge sharing.\n Associate’s degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or a related technical field from an accredited program OR High School diploma (or equivalent) with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a hydraulic/electronic service shop or field service environment.\nExperience supporting internal and external customers by addressing technical questions, concerns, and service issues.\nWillingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally approximately 50-60% of the year, often with minimal advance notice.\nStrong interest in learning and applying fluid power technologies, including pumps, motors, proportional and servo valves, and logic valves.\nWillingness to learn and work with industrial hydraulic electronic controllers (e.g., HNC, HPC, HACD).\nWorking knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office applications; ability to install and utilize controller-specific software as required.\nExcellent verbal communication, organizational, and documentation skills.\nAbility to work collaboratively under the guidance of senior Field Service Technicians.\nFlexibility to work overtime as needed to meet customer and project requirements.\n Your well-being matters at Bosch!
