What You Will Do

As a key leader within Bosch Home Comfort Group, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Residential Coils and Air Handlers. This position is responsible for building, leading, and inspiring high-performing engineering teams dedicated to innovative product design and development. You will drive the successful execution of major development initiatives, champion engineering excellence, and ensure strong alignment with strategic business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Innovation - Drive the design and development of next-generation coil and air handler products by integrating advanced technologies, optimizing designs, and enhancing manufacturing processes.
  • Develop Talent - Mentor and grow engineering teams, strengthening both technical expertise and program management capabilities.
  • Own Resource Strategy - Define and manage project resources, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and financial goals.
  • Advance Engineering Excellence - Apply and evolve both standard and specialized engineering principles to elevate product performance and innovation.
  • Collaborate Across Functions - Partner closely with manufacturing, procurement, and product management to evaluate feasibility, cost, and market opportunities.
  • Drive Financial Stewardship - Forecast and manage operational budgets for engineering and development programs.
  • Set Direction and Expectations - Establish clear goals, strategies, and performance expectations that enable teams to succeed and excel.
  • Leverage System Expertise - Maintain deep knowledge of ducted systems and understand the broader organizational impact of engineering decisions.
  • Shape Strategy with Insight - Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and competitive landscapes to inform product direction and innovation.
  • Enable Business Success - Support broader business objectives through additional responsibilities and leadership contributions as needed.

How You Will Do It

Success in this role comes from combining strong technical expertise with inspiring leadership and effective communication. You will energize your team to exceed expectations through purposeful coaching, mentorship, and clear direction. By fostering collaboration across functions and maintaining a forward-looking, solutions-oriented mindset, you will drive innovation, strengthen execution, and deliver meaningful value to customers and the business.

  • 8+ years of professional experience in engineering or manufacturing, with a focus on HVAC systems, coils, or air handling equipment
  • System ratings and matching methodologies is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • 5+ years of supervisory or management experience leading technical teams
  • Strong technical knowledge of thermal dynamics, air handling systems, and HVAC system design
  • Proficiency in engineering analysis tools
  • Demonstrated expertise in project management and cross-functional team coordination
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience with budget management and cost analysis
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with quality assurance standards and manufacturing compliance requirements
  • Ability to make decisive decisions and drive strategic initiatives
