We grow together!\n As an IT Systems & Automation Engineer, you will drive the reliability, modernization, and automated operations of critical enterprise systems and data lifecycle infrastructure across Bosch globally.\nIn this role, you will champion automated workflows, maintain robust multi-tier system environments (Windows Server, databases, and application platforms), and eliminate operational bottlenecks through proactive engineering. While enterprise data lifecycle and archiving services form an important component of the environment, your primary focus will be optimizing infrastructure stability, implementing end-to-end automation, and ensuring high-availability enterprise services for global stakeholders.\nMain Responsibilities:\nManaging and administering multi-tier enterprise systems, including MS Windows Servers, Oracle/SQL databases, and enterprise data lifecycle platforms.\nOptimizing, scripting, and automating routine operational tasks and maintenance workflows.\nSetting up and onboarding new systems, automated workflows, and archiving/data lifecycle processes.\nMaintaining existing infrastructure and archiving environments, including regular patching, upgrades, and system hardening.\nTroubleshooting and resolving complex issues, serving as the final internal technical escalation point before involving external software vendors.\nMonitoring and reporting on infrastructure health, performance, and service availability.\nProviding consultation to Bosch internal stakeholders, including colleagues from other IT departments and business units, on systems management, automation capabilities, and archiving services.\n The Profile We Are Looking For\nCore Competencies:\nHands-on experience in Microsoft Windows Server administration.\nSolid experience working with SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and Oracle databases.\nPractical experience with PowerShell scripting and process/task automation.\nExperience working with web and application servers such as Apache Tomcat and Microsoft IIS.\nStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills with an automation-first mindset.\nNice to Have capabilities:\nKnowledge of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) platforms such as Hyland solutions (e.g., OnBase / Nuxeo / Alfresco) or OpenText (Content Server / Archive Center).\nUnderstanding NoSQL databases (like Mongo).\nExposure to private cloud environments, virtualization, or modern infrastructure hosting scenarios.\nExperience integrating archiving/lifecycle solutions with enterprise ERP systems (e.g. SAP).\nFamiliarity with enterprise workload automation and job scheduling tools (e.g. Automic Automation).\n Bosch’s culture of innovation and digital transformation offers you a fantastic platform to grow your skills and enhance your network.
