  • Plan, coordinate and develop activities for the Linear Technology Product Area Linear Components portfolio consisting of Ball, Roller, and Mini Rail Systems, Integrated Measuring Systems, Ball and Planetary Screw Assemblies, Bushings and Shafts, Tolerance Rings, and Ball Transfer Units. Serve as the primary source for long-term development of sales and marketing processes and plans for the product group.
  • Own the product portfolio revenue, margin, growth, and profitability
  • Develop and execute the product roadmap aligned with business strategy and customer needs.
  • Develop Go-To-Market strategies and portfolio optimization including lifecycle phase-outs
  • Support annual business planning, forecasting, and strategic growth initiatives
  • Define product positioning, value propositions, and market segmentation
  • Establish pricing strategies and manage product pricing throughout the lifecycle
  • Implement and maintain assortment management for each product
  • Develop sales enabling tools
  • Act as the technical expert for the Products. Perform the functions of the job in a teamwork environment.
  • Demonstrate a high-level knowledge of sales and engineering principles, in addition to a full understanding of the specific product lines.
  • Effectively utilize project management skills to maintain control of assigned tasks. High-level of understanding of product and quality requirements.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Public speaking skills preferred. Ability to observe and define trends and industry direction, acquires, and qualifies information.
  • Promote national sales of products through direct sales associates, regional sales distribution, and sales representatives.
  • Collaborate with LT Sales and Distribution Management to diagnose account needs and develop customer solutions that meet overall account and market strategy. Gather intelligence from the market to identify target accounts and with the assistance of Sales, develop specific account strategies.
  • Develop business plans for the product groups using BR core competencies and market knowledge. Establish appropriate goals, objectives, and prioritized milestones. Monitor product performance through KPIs and implement corrective actions where needed.
  • Conduct voice-of-customer research to identify market needs and future opportunities.
  • Research and provide feedback to other country units regarding new product development, marketing data, and product sales feasibility studies.
  • Prioritize product development initiatives in collaboration with Engineering and Operations.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to identify growth opportunities.
  • Provide Marketing feedback for product launches, press releases, trade shows and advertising campaigns.
  • Stay close to new product introduction activities from concept through commercialization.
  • Develop strategic plans and tactics to optimize market share.
  • Identify and maintain major "sales-against" strategy for the top competitors in each Product group. Develop training strategies for both the sales channel and customers.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronic Engineering or 10 years of relevant work experience.
  • 10 years of experience in sales, marketing, engineering or product management. Travel up to 30% required.
  • Strong knowledge of linear technology products and applications with focus on electromechanical solutions. Suitable knowledge of electric drives and controls.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of SAP ERP system desirable. Suitable knowledge of primary served industry segments. (E.g., Assembly, Automotive, Semiconductor, Medical, Warehousing, Food and Packaging).
  • Previous international experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Equipment used and working conditions: Computer knowledge within an ERP environment (preferably SAP), database applications such as Access, MS-Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access), and Document management and creation software (Illustrator, Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, PageMaker).
  • Professional team player with positive attitude who takes ownership of tasks and who seeks and accepts other responsibilities.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and use discretion and judgment to make decisions on critical business tasks based on available information.
