We develop scalable, intelligent, and trustworthy AIoT solutions for Bosch products and services in application areas such as automated driving, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), robotics, smart manufacturing, enterprise AI, health care, smart home and building solutions.\nOriginating from the AI research in Silicon Valley, our Intelligent Autonomous Systems group is responsible for enabling future autonomous Bosch products by pushing the boundaries of automated driving, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), robotics and automation through key innovations that encompass system architecture and AI components. These include methods for motion planning, high level task planning and decision making as well as systems for making these technologies work on real products by building frameworks that take advantage of technologies in the field of reliable distributed computing. We work with internal partners of different Bosch business units to transfer our solutions into future products. We also actively collaborate with leading groups in academia and industry to promote research ideas and publish research findings in internationally renowned conferences and journals such as CVPR, ICRA, IROS, RSS, NeurIPS and CoRL.\n As the Robotics Manipulation intern, you will advance Bosch's capabilities in robotic manipulation, specifically in the area of agentic robotics (coding agents for robotics manipulation).\nA few of your responsibilities will include:\n* Research the state-of-the-art in agentic robotics.\n* Evaluate this research on a realistic, industrial Bosch use case.\n* Develop improvements to make these techniques practical.\n* Report experimental results and prepare a draft to a high-quality conference.\n Basic Qualifications:\nPh.D. or Masters student in Computer Science, Robotics or related fields. (Must be a current student.)\nExperience using agents, e.g. Anthropic Claude Code or OpenAI Codex.\nExperience implementing algorithms on robotic arms, humanoids, or quadrupeds.\nProficient in Python and C++, with experience using Ubuntu and ROS2.\nMinimum GPA of 3.0.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience applying large generative multi-modal models, VLAs, VLMs, or LLMs to robotics problems.\nFamiliarity with simulation and motion planning suites (e.g., NVIDIA Isaac Sim, cuRobo).\nExperience with perception models (e.g., SAM/SAM2, DINOv2) and spatial representation (e.g., Gaussian Splatting, NeRFs).\nPublication record in top venues, such as ICRA, IROS, CoRL, RSS, etc.\nFocus on embodiment transfer, learning from demonstration, and/or semantic scene understanding.\nAble to work independently, has strong research and problem-solving skills.\nGood communication and teamwork skills.\n Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability / veterans\n*Bosch adheres to Federal, State, and Local laws regarding drug-testing.
