Our R&D department based in Nonantola (MO) is a center of global competence for Compact Hydraulic products

Our Sales Department is looking for a Senior Application Engineer to join our technical-commercial team. The ideal candidate will act as a high-level strategic consultant, bridging the gap between complex engineering requirements and business-oriented solutions. We are looking for a professional with deep expertise in hydraulics, leadership qualities, and a proven ability to manage custom projects for major OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers).

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic System Design & Consultancy: Oversee and validate system design requests from the field, ensuring that proposed solutions are optimized for specific machine applications and aligned with global business objectives.
  • Advanced Circuit Development: Design sophisticated hydraulic circuits and integrated electro-hydraulic control systems, interfacing with advanced OEM hydraulic and electronic architectures.
  • Advanced Simulation & Validation: Lead circuit and system simulation activities to validate critical solutions before implementation, effectively reducing time-to-market and technical risks.
  • R&D Leadership & Insight: Act in close relationship with the R&D department, for new product development but also for providing strategic market insights to influence the roadmap for new products and emerging technologies.
  • Tier-2 Technical Troubleshooting: Resolve the most complex system issues, providing high-level technical support and coordinating urgent field interventions when necessary.
  • Strategic Project Management: Manage the full lifecycle of complex custom projects, from budgetary costing and financial feasibility to timeline and risk management.
  • Key Account Relationship Management: Build and consolidate high-level technical relationships with decision-makers at major OEMs and key industry stakeholders.
  • Vertical Market Solution Development: Identify and develop technology packages for dedicated markets in alignment with global sales and growth strategies.
  • Mentoring & Training: Serve as a mentor to junior team members; lead advanced "Customer Tech Days" and represent the company as a technical expert at international exhibitions and summits.
  • Compliance & Quality Oversight: Support and oversee product or factory-specific audits to ensure adherence to the highest quality and regulatory standards.
  • Education: Master’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, or a related field).
  • Industry Experience: Extensive proven track record (typically 7-10+ years) in the application of hydraulic systems within the mobile equipment market.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Mastery of hydraulic valves and integrated manifold systems.
    • Deep knowledge of electro-hydraulic systems specifically for mobile machinery.
    • Strong proficiency in electronics and Fieldbus systems (e.g., CAN-bus).
  • Commercial Acumen: Significant previous experience in a technical sales or commercial environment, with the ability to balance technical excellence with profitability.
  • Software Proficiency: Computer literate with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office; extensive experience with MRP/ERP systems is essential.
  • Language Skills: Full professional proficiency in English and Italian (both verbal and written), with the ability to negotiate and present complex concepts to international audiences.

  • Advanced Problem Solving: Superior analytical skills to define complex problems and identify the optimal balance between technical performance and cost-efficiency.
  • Leadership & Organization: Proven ability to prioritize multiple high-stakes activities, lead cross-functional teams, and meet rigorous deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Mobility: Full willingness to travel extensively for customer consultations, international exhibitions, and on-site technical support.

In line with our compensation policies, the gross annual salary (RAL) for this position lies within the range € 47.000 - € 60.000 for a 40-hour work week.
