Welcome to Bosch.\nJob Summary\nThe Senior Hardware Engineer is responsible for defining, developing, and validating the electronic hardware of wall-hung boiler control systems. This role translates customer and market requirements into hardware technical specifications, works closely with external suppliers to develop electronic control solutions, and ensures compliance with performance, reliability, EMC, and regulatory standards throughout the product development lifecycle.\nKey Responsibilities\nAnalyze customer, market, and product requirements and translate them into detailed electronic hardware functional and technical specifications.\nLead the technical definition and development of electronic controller hardware, ensuring alignment with product performance, cost, quality, and schedule targets.\nCollaborate with external electronic hardware suppliers to define hardware architecture, review technical solutions, resolve design issues, and deliver complete hardware specifications.\nDefine Human-Machine Interface (HMI) requirements by working closely with customers, product management, UX teams, and suppliers to develop user-friendly and compliant interface solutions.\nOwn the electronic hardware technical specification documents, ensuring all customer requirements are fully captured and implemented.\nEnsure electronic hardware designs comply with EMC, electrical safety, environmental, and applicable international/regional regulatory standards.\nDefine hardware reliability, durability, and lifetime requirements, develop validation plans, and ensure successful execution of verification and validation (V&V) testing.\nReview and approve hardware design documentation, schematics, component selection, design reports, test reports, and supplier deliverables.\nCoordinate cross-functional activities with software, mechanical, system engineering, quality, purchasing, and manufacturing teams to ensure successful product integration.\nSupport product issue analysis, root cause investigation, corrective actions, and continuous product improvement during development and production.\nDrive technical risk assessment and mitigation activities throughout the product development process.\nQualifications\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.\n5+ years of experience in electronic hardware development, preferably in HVAC, home appliances, industrial control, or embedded systems.\nStrong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, power electronics, microcontroller-based control systems, and electronic component selection.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in gas appliances, wall-hung boilers, heat pumps, or HVAC electronic control systems.\nKnowledge of HMI design principles and user interface development.\nFamiliarity with IEC/EN standards related to household appliances and electronic control systems.\nExperience with laboratory testing, EMC certification, and regulatory approval processes.\n\nGood understanding of EMC/EMI design principles, electrical safety standards, and regulatory compliance.\nExperience working with external design suppliers or EMS partners throughout the product development lifecycle.\nFamiliarity with reliability engineering, DFMEA, design verification, validation testing, and product certification.\nStrong communication and technical leadership skills with the ability to collaborate across international and cross-functional teams.\nFluent in English, both written and spoken.\n Internal Referral bonus of this vacancy: RMB 10,000 (Valid only for Bosch associates).
