Senior Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for Capital coordination for high pressure gasoline pumps and fuel injectors.
- Coordinate audit activities including preparation for, completion of, and closing of open points stemming from fixed asset audits.
- Plan upcoming releases by participating as manufacturing contact in planning meetings, coordinating required builds, and line preparation with department and MFE team.
- Facilitate RFQ process between MFE, internal purchasing, and machinery suppliers.
- Plan and execute capital equipment (MAE) acquisition (coordination of purchase order) including initial justification including total cost calculation, quotation, MAR process and calculating payback period.
- Manage cross-functional teams to align and approve equipment acquisition and retirement.
- Identify and lead projects to improve safety, cost, quality, delivery, and utilization of manufacturing processes in order to meet Policy Deployment objectives.
- Develop, maintain, and apply lean manufacturing principles (BPS) throughout the value stream with regards to equipment design, selection, layouts, and material flow.
- Perform additional assignments as needed.
- BS in Engineering with 7+ years relevant experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with SAP
- Demonstrated ability to work in a highly dynamic organization.
- Good interpersonal project management skills.
- Ability to clearly summarize and recommend alternative ideas addressing complex issues.
- Highly organized self-starter and use good judgment.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Technical detail-oriented.
- Active team player.
- Capital coordination experience preferred.
