The role involves end-to-end topic collaboration/ ownership, timely and error-free execution of engineering activities, technical coordination, mentoring, and driving innovation and cost optimization.\nKey Responsibilities\nResolve manufacturing issues affecting production output.\nEnsure smooth start of serial production (SOP).\nDrive design optimization, innovation, value engineering and cost-saving initiatives.\nDrive reduction of quality defects and customer complaints.\nSupport root cause analysis (RCA) using 8D, Ishikawa, and 5-Why methods.\nSupport PFMEA and process robustness activities\nImprove Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).\nReduce cycle time and manufacturing losses.\nAnalyze downtime and implement productivity improvements.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives on production lines.\nSupport tooling, fixtures, and process changes.\nCoordinate engineering change implementation on the shop floor\nDrive localization of components and suppliers.\nEvaluate alternative materials and suppliers.\nSupport cost optimization projects and value engineering measures.\nParticipate in RPP and cost-saving initiatives.\nSupport plant teams in solving production and quality issues.\nLead cross-functional discussions with Design, Quality, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Suppliers.\nEnsure rapid containment and long-term corrective actions\nKey Skills\nUG-NX & Team center experience.\n\nFMEA / PFMEA skills.\n\nBES-PE & PEP process.\n\nGood working knowledge on Plastic / Sheetmetal design.\n\nExperience in preparing and maintaining BOM in SAP\n\nGD&T and Tolerance stack up analysis.\n\nHands-on experience in design of Jigs and Fixtures.\n\nGood experience in different manufacturing processes (Machining, Forging, Staking, etc.)\n\nProblem solving skills (8D, CAR, 5Why etc. Techniques).\n\nSelf-motivated and independent working capability.\n\nGood presentation, communication and inter-personal skills\n\nKnowledge in Antilock Braking Systems, Components and Hydraulic circuits.\n\nExposure to New Product Development / Innovation Gate projects.\n\nHands-on experience in Cost reduction projects / proposals.\n\nJapanese Language -
