Click here to learn more. \n As a Software Validation and Automated Testing Engineer, you will design, develop, validate, and automate testing solutions for software that runs on or supports Full Stack Desktop, Mobile, Vehicle Interface, and Cloud-based services within the Bosch Automotive Service Solutions diagnostics group. You will play a critical role in ensuring software quality, reliability, and performance across vehicle diagnostic tools, mobile applications, web services, and connected diagnostic ecosystems.\nJoin our team as we transform how automotive diagnostic software is developed, validated, and delivered. You will work closely with software engineers, systems engineers, product owners, and validation teams to build automated testing frameworks, improve software quality, and accelerate product releases through continuous integration and continuous testing practices.\nWHAT YOU WILL DO\nSoftware Validation & Quality Engineering\nDefine, develop, and execute software validation strategies and test plans for desktop, mobile, web, and cloud-based applications.\nValidate software functionality, usability, reliability, performance, and compatibility against product requirements and customer use cases.\nCreate and maintain automated test suites for functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.\nDevelop test cases, test procedures, and validation documentation to support product releases.\nCollaborate with development teams to ensure quality requirements are incorporated early in the software development lifecycle.\nTrack, report, and communicate software quality metrics, test results, and validation status to stakeholders.\nTest Automation & Continuous Integration\nDesign, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks for web, desktop, mobile, and API-based applications.\nIntegrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration and delivery.\nCreate automated scripts to validate software functionality, performance, and system-level interactions.\nImprove testing efficiency through automation, reducing manual testing effort and increasing test coverage.\nSupport automated execution of regression tests for product releases and software updates.\nEvaluate and implement modern testing tools, frameworks, and best practices.\nSoftware Development & Technical Contributions\nParticipate in software architecture discussions and design reviews to ensure product quality and testability.\nDevelop utilities, tools, and test applications that support software validation activities.\n Required Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, MIS, or a related technical field.\n3+ years of experience in software development, software validation, test automation, or quality engineering.\nExperience developing and executing software test plans, test cases, and validation procedures.\nExperience building and maintaining automated test frameworks and automated regression test suites.\nExperience testing desktop, mobile, web, and cloud-based applications.\nStrong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and software quality processes.\nExperience with source control systems and CI/CD environments.\nKnowledge of software testing methodologies including functional, integration, system, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing.\nTechnical Skills\nExperience with automated testing tools and frameworks such as: Selenium, Appium, Playwright, Cypress, NUnit, Junit, xUnit, TestNG, Postman and API automation frameworks.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with automotive diagnostic systems, vehicle communication networks, or diagnostic protocols.\nExperience validating software that interfaces with vehicle communication technologies such as CAN, DoIP, UDS, J2534, or OBD-II.\nExperience testing hardware/software integrated systems.\nFamiliarity with cybersecurity, secure communications, and connected vehicle technologies.\nExperience with performance, load, and scalability testing.\nKnowledge of cloud platforms and distributed application architectures.\nExperience with any of the following programming languages and technologies is a plus: Java, Kotlin, C#, MAUI, Xamarin, C++, HTML, XML, REST APIs, and TCP/IP.\nExperience using DevOps and CI/CD tools is a plus: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Git, and SonarQube.\nProfessional Skills\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.\nProven capability in technical communications, both verbal and written.\nAbility to collaborate effectively across multiple engineering disciplines.\nSelf-motivated with a strong focus on quality, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction.\n Indefinite U.S. work authorized individuals only.
