In this senior role, you will lead the design, development, and optimization of advanced power electronics systems for demanding industrial and automotive applications. You will combine your deep technical expertise with analytical rigor to solve complex engineering challenges and drive innovation in power conversion technologies. This position offers the opportunity to mentor junior engineers while contributing to cutting-edge projects that shape the future of power electronics.\nDesign, develop, and optimize power electronics systems including DC-DC converters, AC-DC rectifiers, and inverter topologies\nConduct detailed circuit analysis and perform simulations using industry-standard tools such as SPICE, MATLAB, and Simulink\nLead technical projects from concept through production, ensuring adherence to specifications, timelines, and quality standards\nPerform comprehensive testing, validation, and troubleshooting of power electronics hardware and control systems\nAnalyze thermal management requirements and implement effective cooling strategies to ensure system reliability\nDevelop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and system architecture diagrams\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams including firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers to ensure seamless system integration\nMentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence\nEnsure all designs comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements\nEvaluate and recommend power semiconductor devices and components based on performance, cost, and reliability criteria\n **Required Qualifications:**\n8+ years of professional experience in power electronics design and development\nStrong expertise in power conversion systems, including DC-DC converters, AC-DC converters, and inverters\nProficiency with circuit simulation and design tools such as SPICE, MATLAB, Simulink, and PCB design software\nSolid understanding of power semiconductor devices (MOSFETs, IGBTs, diodes) and their applications\nExperience with thermal analysis, thermal management, and reliability engineering\nDemonstrated ability to conduct system-level integration and hardware testing\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail\nStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously\nExperience with technical documentation and design specification development\nProficiency in communicating complex technical concepts to diverse audiences\n**Preferred Qualifications:**\nExperience designing power electronics systems for automotive or industrial applications\nFamiliarity with power quality standards and EMI/EMC compliance requirements\nBackground in hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing and real-time simulation\nExperience with power factor correction (PFC) and energy efficiency optimization\nProven track record of mentoring and leading technical teams\nKnowledge of control systems and feedback loop design for power electronics\nExperience with industry standards such as IEC, ISO, and automotive-specific requirements\n Indefinite U.S. work authorized individuals only.
