Together, we are expanding the possibilities of hydraulic control technology to provide innovative and reliable solutions.\n Key Responsibilities\nDevelop and manage programming standards and methodology for manufacturing & testing control systems.\nDesign, Develop, Document and Deliver internal training programs for LabView and PLC control systems, to ensure sufficient technical competence across the business to support production.\nDesign and develop programs for LabView and PLC control systems to sequentially test and evaluate component performance.\nDesign and develop control systems for production testing equipment for existing and new product, working with the designs engineers.\nWorking with the automation teams, both internal and external, on the development of automated test solutions.\nProduce required relevant internal documentation to company standards on a timely basis, ensuring accuracy is maintained.\nLiaise with suppliers to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, material’s and parts, and evaluate products according to specifications and quality standards\nDesign and develop electro-hydraulic control systems for hydraulic machinery and equipment.\nDevelop system architectures incorporating hydraulic, electrical, electronic and software components.\nProduce and review control system specifications, schematics, wiring diagrams and system documentation.\nSelect and specify appropriate sensors, valves, controllers, PLCs, HMIs and associated control hardware.\nDevelop, modify and troubleshoot PLC, embedded or machine-control software.\nSupport software version control, testing and documentation.\nDiagnose software and control-system faults during development, commissioning and production.\nTesting & Commissioning\nDesign, build, test and commission control systems and hydraulic equipment.\nDevelop and execute system test plans.\nConduct functional, performance and validation testing.\nTroubleshoot complex electrical, electronic, software and hydraulic issues.\nAnalyse test data and implement corrective actions where required.\nProduct Development\nWork closely with Mechanical, Hydraulic, Electrical, Software and Manufacturing Engineers on new product development.\nTranslate customer and application requirements into practical engineering solutions.\nSupport the development of prototypes and proof-of-concept systems.\nIdentify opportunities to improve product performance, efficiency, reliability and manufacturability.\nProvide engineering support to manufacturing and production teams.\nInvestigate and resolve technical issues affecting production.\nDevelop test procedures and production test equipment where required.\nEssential\nDegree, HND/HNC or equivalent qualification in Control Systems Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation or a related discipline.\nProven experience in controls, automation or systems engineering within an engineering/manufacturing environment.\nLabVIEW Developer or PLC programmer advantageous\nStrong understanding of hydraulic, electro-hydraulic or automated systems.\nExperience developing and troubleshooting control systems.\nExperience with PLCs, controllers or embedded control systems.\nAbility to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.\nStrong fault-finding and analytical/problem-solving skills.\nExperience taking engineering projects from concept through to testing and implementation.\nGood understanding of sensors, actuators, valves and control hardware.\nStrong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary engineering teams.\nDesirable\nExperience within mobile hydraulics, industrial hydraulics, off-highway, construction, agricultural, automotive, manufacturing or heavy engineering.\nExperience with LabVIEW / PLC programming and HMI development.\nExperience with embedded C/C++ or other programming languages.\nExperience with hydraulic system/ circuit simulation and modelling.\nExperience with electro-hydraulic proportional and servo control systems.\nExperience with data acquisition, power BI, instrumentation and system diagnostics.\nSuccessful completion of an Engineering Apprenticeship advantageous\nWhy Bosch Rexroth?\nA range of benefits are available including employee discounts, various sports and health opportunities, on-site parking\nWe offer a wide variety of interesting and challenging tasks.
