We invite you to join us in this transformation.\nJob Description\nWe are looking for a Mechanical Engineer who will take on responsible for mechanical design and development activities for Sonus Faber Luxury Audio products, combining technical execution with coordination of the mechanical engineering team in the programs assigned.\nYou will support in product development programs from concept definition through design validation and industrialization, ensuring compliance with product requirements, quality standards, cost targets, and project timelines. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, high-quality products that reflect the performance, craftsmanship, and design excellence of our luxury audio portfolio.\nKey Responsibilities:\nMechanical Engineering & Product Development\nDevelop mechanical solutions, components, and assemblies for high-end audio products, ensuring structural integrity, functional performance, reliability, and aesthetic quality.\nDrive 3D CAD design, 2D drawings, tolerance definition, materials selection, and engineering documentation through the main SW as Solid Works - NX.\nManage prototypes, design iterations, testing, and validation activities to ensure product requirements are met.\nApply Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFM/DFA) principles to optimize product design, manufacturability, quality, and cost.\nSupport the resolution of mechanical issues throughout development, validation, and production ramp-up.\nFunctional Leadership\nCoordinate mechanical engineering activities according with the assigned program milestones\nProvide technical guidance and support to team members, promoting collaboration, knowledge sharing, and consistent engineering practices.\nIdentify technical risks, and drive timely resolution of engineering challenges.\nContribute to the development of team capabilities and continuous improvement of engineering processes.\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nCollaborate with Electrical Engineering, Acoustics, Industrial Design, Project Management, Manufacturing, and Quality to ensure integrated product development.\nCoordinate with suppliers and manufacturing partners on component development, tooling, production feasibility, and technical problem-solving.\nSupport supplier qualification, design verification, and production readiness activities.\nEnsure engineering documentation and product specifications are complete, accurate, and released according to company processes.\nRequired Qualifications & Experience\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.\nExperience in mechanical design and product development, preferably within audio equipment, or precision mechanical assemblies.\nExperience in 3D CAD tools as Solid Works, Nx or similar, and mechanical engineering documentation.\nKnowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, manufacturing processes, tolerances, and assembly methods.\nExperience with prototyping, design validation, and Design for Manufacturing and Assembly.\nAbility to coordinate technical activities and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.\nStrong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.\nGood command of written and spoken English.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience developing products involving complex mechanical assemblies, premium materials, finishes, and demanding aesthetic requirements.\nFamiliarity with New Product Introduction (NPI) processes, design risk assessment, and production industrialization.\nExperience working with external suppliers and manufacturing partners.\nAt Bose, you're inspired to be and do your best and are rewarded for your unique talents!
