Finally, we believe that creativity and innovation belong in all parts of the company in order to drive excellence in everything we do.\nPosition Overview:\nThe Embedded Intern will work on development and validation activities across DSP, amplifiers, and embedded Linux-based, STM32 systems. This role offers hands-on experience on Linux bring up, Embedded systems, firmware development (mostly on STM32) for professional audio devices. The intern will collaborate closely with both hardware and software teams to accelerate product feature development, improve system reliability, and enhance network-based update mechanisms\nKey Responsibilities:\nWork on Embedded Linux development using the Yocto Project, including kernel and user space integration, build optimization, and application packaging. Also, work on STM32 based firmware development including board bring up, GUI development.\nWork on custom board evaluation, broad bring-up and debugging of peripherals\nWrite unit tests for the peripherals and demonstrate the working of them.\nIntegrate open-source tools/libraries into Yocto build system \nAssist in device setup and configuration for system verification to identify edge cases in module development\nSupport the applications team in preparing and validating devices for testing and field evaluation. \nCollaborate with the hardware team on amplifier, DSP, and controller board bring-up, debugging, and performance analysis.\nSupport Company objectives by completing additional tasks as needed \nQualifications:\nCurrently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Embedded Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field. \nStrong understanding of embedded systems, microcontrollers, or DSP fundamentals.\nExperience with C/C++ programming and basic knowledge of firmware or low-level driver development.\nFamiliarity with Yocto Project, Linux build systems, or STM32 development is a plus. \nFamiliarity with UART, I2C, SPI and networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP) is a plus. \nContribution to Open-Source Linux based projects/ Controller firmware development is a plus. \nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a proactive attitude. \nAbility to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.\nBose Professional is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity in the workplace.
