We invite you to join us in this transformation.\nJob Description\nSoftware/DSP Research Engineer Co-op | Spring 2027\nWe are looking for a Software/DSP Engineer Co-op to join our research lab this spring! In this role you will help build our next generation of wearable and out-loud product experiences enabling people to hear better, love music more, and achieve more. The duration of this position is 6 months starting January 2027 (full-time 40 hours/week, in-person).\nResponsibilities\nTo enable novel audio experiences you will help us:\nOptimize DSP and Sensor algorithms to the hardware target.\nPort, validate and distribute new algorithms.\nCollaborate with other teams to integrate and expand existing software components.\nHelp us create demos that will wow your colleagues and our business partners\nMinimum Qualification\nCurrently a rising Senior B.S., M.S., or PhD student in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.\nKnowledge of embedded DSP.\nStrong experience with programing in C/C++, MatLab, Simulink, Python.\nBluetooth protocol experience\nFamiliar with DSP for real time applications, acoustics, and mathematics.\nExperience with cross-group and cross-culture collaboration.\nHigh levels of creativity and quick problem-solving capabilities.\nPreferred Qualification\nDemonstrated sensors experience via an internship, co-op, class, or personal project.\nFamiliar with radar, IMUs, transmitter/receiver principles and sensor applications.\nFamiliar with common tracking algorithms and principles such as Kalman filters.\nFamiliar with hardware such as amplifiers, signal generators, transducers, and microphones.\nMusic or Acoustic experience and interests\nAt Bose, you're inspired to be and do your best and are rewarded for your unique talents!
