Within Bose Labs, SEA&P transforms emerging technology into reusable architectures, technology building blocks, platforms, and reference designs that can scale across products, businesses, and technology partners.\nWe are seeking a Principal Systems Engineer - Systems Architect, Edge AI to help architect that future.\nThis is a deeply technical and creative role at the intersection of embedded systems, audio, machine learning, and AI-enabled engineering. You will assess new ideas, explore system architectures, prove technical feasibility, and help turn promising technologies into scalable Bose platforms and reusable IP across environments ranging from low-power wearables to phones, PCs, Macs, and Linux-based embedded systems.\nA defining part of the role is also changing how architecture itself is done. You will build AI agents, simulations, and automated engineering loops that accelerate architecture exploration and stress-test candidate solutions against system requirements and constraints.\nWhat You’ll Do\nArchitect complex embedded hardware/software solutions for future Bose technologies.\nEvaluate new concepts for technical feasibility, architectural tradeoffs, risk, and scalability.\nTranslate audio, sensing, ML, and AI technologies into reusable system architectures.\nBuild simulations, prototypes, and experiments to evaluate candidate solutions.\nDevelop agentic AI workflows and reusable AI-enabled engineering infrastructure for architecture exploration and verification.\nStress-test architectures across power, compute, memory, latency, performance, and security.\nArchitect Bose algorithms, models, frameworks, and IP for secure integration into third-party systems.\nInfluence the future Bose technology roadmap through deep understanding of embedded AI, silicon, audio, and edge computing.\nProvide Principal-level technical leadership across Bose Labs, engineering teams, suppliers, and external partners.\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.\nSignificant experience developing or architecting complex embedded hardware and software systems.\nStrong systems architecture experience across hardware and software.\nExperience with embedded processors, SoCs, DSPs, real-time systems, and Linux-based platforms.\nStrong knowledge of digital audio signal processing and audio system architectures.\nExperience implementing or deploying machine learning models on embedded or edge devices.\nUnderstanding of edge-ML constraints including compute, memory, power, latency, and hardware acceleration.\nDemonstrated experience using AI to solve meaningful technical problems with measurable engineering or business impact.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience developing AI agents, agentic workflows, or AI-enabled engineering systems.\nBackground in AI/ML model development, training, evaluation, or optimization.\nExperience with AI-enabled simulation, design-space exploration, or technical verification.\nExperience with TinyML, NPUs, DSP-based ML acceleration, or heterogeneous compute.\nExperience with audio ML, speech processing, spatial audio, or intelligent noise management.\nDemonstrated experience architecting advanced audio products or embedded audio systems.\nExperience with hardware/software co-design, secure embedded architectures, SDKs, frameworks, or reference designs.\nExperience working with semiconductor vendors, technology partners, third-party integrators, or licensing models.\nWho You Are\nYou are a systems thinker, builder, and technical innovator who can move between silicon, embedded software, DSP, machine learning, and system architecture.\nYou enjoy ambiguous problems, explore multiple solutions before converging, and use experimentation and evidence to guide decisions.\nMost importantly, you want to help shape the future of embedded AI and intelligent audio-and turn those possibilities into secure, scalable, reusable technologies that power the future of Bose.\nAt Bose, you're inspired to be and do your best and are rewarded for your unique talents!
