will represent our company in a professional and cost effective manner aiming at increasing profitability and customer satisfaction.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nVehicle Maintenance, Safety and Delivery\nOperate and drive company trucks to transport goods and materials and make deliveries as required.\nPerform daily/routine vehicle inspections and identify and report any safety or maintenance issues.\nMonitor vehicle condition, performance and mechanical fitness, including but not limited to inspecting tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment.\nPerform preventive maintenance and emergency roadside repairs.\nReport any special customer needs, special conditions or issues back to the Branch Manager and/or Sales team in regards to: inefficient routes; facility and parking challenges; fittings and hose requirement issues; accessibility issues; for each client location, and identify time-sensitive and/or special needs customers.\nEnsure cellular phone is always charged and operational.\nVehicle Administration\nProduce accurate paperwork, reports and logs on vehicles as required in a timely manner.\nEnsure all paperwork regarding TSD requirements is accurate and updated daily.\nProduce all necessary documentation (DL, DA) for appropriate certification according to company and DOT requirements.\nAssist with the placarding of delivery vehicles and the necessary paperwork to ensure they meet company and government requirements.\nEnsure Fuel card, drivers’ license, insurance slips are available and easily accessible.\nLoading & Unloading of Vehicles\nLoading and unloading vehicles to and from deliveries.\nEnsure all loads are picked accurately and loaded securely.\nPump lubricants into customer’s tanks.\nAssist the warehouse team whenever possible.\nTransfers between warehouses\nPick-up return items from customers\nCustomer Service\nMaintain a courteous, professional and positive attitude when dealing with both internal and external customers.\nFollow and support safety practices within the workplace and address any safety issues or concerns with the Transportation Supervisor and/or Branch Manager.\nMaintain a clean and well-groomed appearance and wear appropriate company apparel.\nEnsure any communication between yourself and the customer is clearly understood.\nAccommodate customer requests as best as possible, going above and beyond the customer’s expectations where possible and report back to the Transportation Supervisor when expectations are unmet or unclear.\nOther duties as required.\nQUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS\nEducation\nCompletion of High School preferred.\nKnowledge\nKnowledge of eLogs, bills of lading, inspection reports (pre- and post-trip), maintenance and repair reports, trip reports, accident or incident report.\nKnowledge of client base destinations within Winnipeg.\nSkills/Certification\nClass 3A required\nExperience\nExperience operating and driving straight trucks or vans to transport goods and materials and/or liquid bulk.\nProven track record in safe driving practices.\nMinimum 2 years or more commercial driving experience.\nExperience working in a warehouse environment.\nForklift experience is an asset.\nAbilities\nAbility to identify with clients and assist with resolving issues at the client-site, while ensuring that management are being informed about the situation.\nAbility to deal with difficult client situations and remain cooperative and compassionate Ability to work with minimal supervision.\nPersonal Suitability\nAttention to detail.\nDiplomacy in dealing with internal and external clients.\nTakes pride in his/her work.\n“Whatever-it-takes” attitude, but not afraid to ask questions.\nContinuous desire to learn new Boss
