Now we are quickly becoming a recognized leader in automation solutions for industrial applications,warehouse logistics andgeneral purpose labor.\nWhat our co-ops do\nWork with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to help design and support complex robotic systems\nPlan and perform verification and validation testing on prototype and production systems\nDesign and develop new features for existing products\nTroubleshoot issues, perform root cause failure analysis and design/implement corrective actions to sustain existing products\nDesign and release parts and assemblies using Catia CAD software\nDevelop and maintain product support documentation including bills of material (BOMs) and detailed part/assembly drawings\nSupport system design analyses, including reliability, DFM / DFA, cost-reduction\nWhat we want to see in our co-ops:\nA demonstrated passion for robotics and mechanical design\nDesign experience w/ 3D CAD tools (CATIA, Solidworks, Onshape, &c.) \nThat you’re hands-on. Our best co-ops can and want to build, assemble, and troubleshoot stuff\nThat you can write well. A poorly written test plan, report, or spec robs the team of the knowledge we need to make our robots even better. \nThat you’re working toward a BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or similar\nNice to Have:\nYou know Python, LabView, MATLAB, or similar\nYou know some FEA/CFD tools\nYou have designed stuff for manufacturing (eg injection molding, castings, extrusions, sheet metal, weldments, &c.)\nYou’re acquainted with ASME drafting standards including GD&T, (Y14.5-2018)\nYou’ve worked systems comprising sensors, actuators and mechanisms\nAdditional Info:\nPublic transportation is accessible from Boston/Alewife.\nBoston Dynamics will never ask you to divulge your personal financial or account information as part of its recruiting process . \nWe are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States.
