Boston Dynamics is a robotics company founded in 1992 as a spin-off from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and now owned by Hyundai Motor Group. It builds the Spot quadruped, the Stretch warehouse robot and the Atlas humanoid, and has shifted from research demonstrations to commercial deployment in inspection and logistics. Recent work combines its control expertise with reinforcement learning and large behaviour models developed with partners.

As a Field Application Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering Boston Dynamics robotic solutions to our customers, ensuring their seamless integration and operational success. As the Pre & Post Technical Specialist, you will deliver professional-level technical expertise and support across the customer lifecycle. This role balances pre-sales engagement-including solution design, demonstrations, and technical validation-with post-sales implementation, configuration, and support activities. Working independently within defined guidelines, the specialist applies in-depth knowledge to resolve a range of moderately complex technical challenges while ensuring customer satisfaction and successful adoption of company solutions.

Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of activities, including collaborating closely with customers to align system capabilities with their operational needs and designing site-specific solutions. You will travel up to 50% to customer sites and oversee the site-level solution architecture and commissioning of Boston Dynamics robotic systems, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with customer goals. Furthermore, you will implement scalable solutions that cater to both individual integrations and the growth of customer accounts, while also managing network infrastructure and configuration for robust system connectivity. Your expertise will also be crucial in monitoring system performance, resolving technical issues through advanced troubleshooting, and providing comprehensive customer training and support. Additionally, you will lead technical projects that enhance integration efficiency, standardize processes, and drive continuous improvement, while also supporting the early-stage testing and integration of new Boston Dynamics products. You will proactively gather, systematize, and convey customer feedback to internal teams, champion product enhancements, and steer customer-focused solutions, closely working with product and engineering teams. Throughout your work, you will ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations, develop SOWs and customer success documentation, and deliver comprehensive customer training.
