Here, you’ll be supported in progressing - whatever your ambitions.\nBanking Accountant\nAbout the Role\nThis role operates within Boston Scientific's Global Business Services (GBS) organization, providing high-quality accounting expertise and services across the Americas and EMEA regions.\nThe position involves performing a range of moderately complex to complex bank accounting activities, including account analysis, journal entries, financial reporting, system interface management, and monthly financial close and consolidation processes. The role also involves monitoring performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and continuously identifying opportunities to improve, standardize, and streamline accounting processes.\nYour Responsibilities May Include\nCompile and analyze bank accounting information, prepare financial reports, and post general ledger journal entries.\nSupport bank accounting processes, including reviewing and approving journal entries and account reconciliations.\nSupport monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and appropriate supporting documentation.\nEstablish, maintain, and communicate accounting procedures while ensuring compliance with SOX controls, GAAP, and applicable accounting standards.\nCollaborate with EY and the SOX management team to respond to audit requests and provide required documentation.\nSupport the implementation and maintenance of internal controls, ensuring compliance with company policies and best practices.\nProactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement and process standardization across multiple legal entities.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams and local sites to ensure all relevant perspectives are considered when implementing changes and improvements.\nProvide accurate and timely information to internal and external stakeholders, including responding to urgent and ad hoc requests.\nLead or support finance and accounting projects, including updates to accounting policies and procedures.\nMonitor and deliver agreed key performance indicators (KPIs) and service levels.\nSupport the development of junior accountants through knowledge sharing, guidance, and mentorship.\nPerform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.\nAdvanced proficiency in English, both written and spoken.\n3-6 years of relevant accounting experience.\nExperience in bank accounting would be an advantage.\nExperience with SAP and SAP S/4HANA would be an advantage.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and good working knowledge of Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.\nStrong customer relationship management skills with a customer-focused approach.\nExcellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.\nFlexibility to collaborate with teams across different global time zones.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a team.\nWhat We Offer\nHybrid work model (3 days in the office)\nWork in an international, dynamic, and innovative environment.\nAccess to cutting-edge tools and professional development programs.\nCareer growth opportunities with mentoring, coaching, and global exposure.\nComprehensive benefits package, including:\nPrivate healthcare (Lux Med VIP)\nMultisport card / Culture card\nLunch card\nLife insurance\nLanguage courses\nEmployee Assistance Program\nEmployee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)\nInternal events & charity initiatives\nRequisition ID: 636106\nBoston Scientific transforms lives through innovative medical technologies that improve the health of patients around the world.
