Here, you’ll be supported in progressing - whatever your ambitions.\nAdvancing possibilities for a brighter tomorrow\nWe are seeking a Chemist II on a permanent basis to join our team.\nJob Purpose:\nThe Chemist II is responsible for performing and supporting analytical laboratory activities to ensure the safety, quality, and compliance of materials and products. This role executes testing, method development and validation, equipment qualification, data review, and quality system activities while providing technical support to laboratory operations, process validations, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives in a regulated medical device environment.\nKey Responsibilities:\nPrimary Commitment to patient safety and product Quality.\nUnderstands and comply with all the regulations governing the quality systems.\nDelivery of key Quality and Performance Objectives. Maintenance of laboratory scorecards and trackers.\nEnsure compliance with mandatory training requirements and ensure that your training records are up to date and compliant to cGMP.\nYour responsibilities may include test method development and validation, raw material, in process, finished product and Stability testing.\nComplete documentation associated with testing/ method development & Validation/ equipment qualification in a timely manner.\nEnsure all analytical testing is carried out as defined in the Quality System.\nPerform equipment calibration and qualification as required.\nReview of all laboratory Quality Systems to ensure compliance to cGMP.\nParticipate in Regulatory, Internal (Auditor/Auditee) and Vendor audit programs as required.\nProvide training (induction/ on the job/ procedures and updates), technical guidance / trouble shooting to laboratory staff including review of associated training records.\nReview and approval of Laboratory results and documentation, as required the trending and charting of data.\nPerform and assist with additional duties as may be directed by your direct line manager.\nProficient in the use various software application utilized in the laboratory. As required the development configuration and validation of software in accordance with Boston Scientific and Industry standards.\nCreate, review and approve change requests as required.\nCreation of purchase requisitions for laboratory equipment and consumables.\nManagement of laboratory spend and approval of vendor invoices.\nManagement of laboratory inventory and supplies and ordering of same.\nManage laboratory training process and maintenance to training status.\nProvide analytical support to process validations.\nParticipate on VIP and Continuous project teams as required.\nPreferred Education & Experience:\nLevel 8 Hons Bachelor Degree (or higher) in Engineering or related field\nMin. 3-5 years experience in a similar role ideally in medical devices\nGood technical capabilities, communication skills, teamwork abilities and initiative.\nProven ability to work well as part of a team & on own with minimum supervision.\nStrong experience in leading a team, planning, organisation, and scheduling would be a distinct advantage.\nAs a leader in medical science for more than 40 years, we are committed to solving the challenges that matter most - united by a deep caring for human life.
