You will have the opportunity to discuss details in the interview.\nAbout the role:\nBoston Scientific is seeking a Data Engineer II to enhance and evolve the clinical data and analytics team. This role engineers clinical data ingestion pipelines, cloud-hosted applications, and reporting platforms. The position partners with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Clinical Data Management, Study Enablement teams, and Analytics stakeholders. The successful candidate will deliver scalable, validated solutions that support reliable clinical data operations in a regulated environment.\nWork Mode:\nThis role follows a hybrid work model. Employees are expected to work from the Global Hub, American Free Zone, Costa Rica office at least three days per week, with the remaining days worked remotely.\nYour responsibilities will include:\nDesign, build, and maintain clinical data ingestion and integration pipelines.\n\nDevelop integrations with Veeva Vault, Direct Data API, Rave, Keystone, Athena, Oracle, Snowflake, and AWS-hosted services.\n\nSupport data movement between operational systems, cloud storage, and reporting environments.\n\nTroubleshoot ingestion failures, mapping issues, configuration problems, and downstream data-quality concerns.\n\nDevelop and support AWS-based clinical applications and services.\n\nBuild and maintain cloud infrastructure using AWS Lambda, S3, Fargate, PostgreSQL, Step Functions, and Secrets Manager.\n\nManage GitLab-based CI/CD processes and deployment pipelines.\n\nProvide technical expertise for ingestion architecture, solution design, deployment processes, and cloud-hosted clinical solutions.\n\nSupport technical planning, estimation, sprint management, backlog refinement, automation, monitoring, and deployment governance to reduce operational risk.\n\nRequired qualifications:\nBachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.\n\n3+ years of experience in software engineering or platform engineering.\n\nExperience with AWS cloud services, including Lambda, S3, RDS/PostgreSQL, and event-driven architectures.\n\nStrong backend development experience with Python or similar technologies.\n\nExperience designing and supporting ETL and data integration solutions.\n\nStrong SQL development skills.\n\nPreferred qualifications:\nExperience working with clinical trial or regulated healthcare data.\n\nExperience working within Agile product teams.\n\nStrong collaboration skills across technical and business stakeholders.\n\nStrong communication skills across technical and business stakeholders.\n\nExperience leading cloud migrations and modernization initiatives.\n\nRequisition ID: 636280\nAs a leader in medical science for more than 40 years, we are committed to solving the challenges that matter most - united by a deep caring for human life.
