This level position requires an extensive knowledge base and a high degree of independence.\nJob Responsibilities:\nDemonstrates extensive technical expertise (SME) on product / process technologies to develop solution for design improvement, optimisation, validation and troubleshooting of those technologies.\n\nCollaborate through developed networks (both internal & external) in assisting engineering teams in the selection, design & development of new product, processes, equipment, tooling and materials.\n\nDevelop / lead the execution of experimentation and testing to enable characterisation, optimization and troubleshooting of processes and equipment; summarises, analyses and draws conclusions leading to effective technical resolution & communication to wider technical community.\n\nCoordinates/directs the introduction of new processes, equipment and materials including installation, calibration, EHS assessment debug, and all associated process and quality system documentation requirements including technical and process work instructions.\n\nLead / support continuous improvement activity - through effective application of Six Sigma & Lean methodologies to assist in the characterization, optimization, troubleshooting and development of efficient, cost effective equipment and processes.\n\nSupports execution and documentation of validation builds, co-ordinates testing of validation units and compiles, analyses and reports on the validation results.\n\nTravel to other sites / vendors as part of technology development & transfer activities.\n\nTrain/Coach peers on the technical aspects of their job; Trains production trainers/operators/manufacturing technicians on new processes.\n\nProvides floor support for new product builds (e.g., troubleshoots equipment and manufacturing problems)\n\nJob Requirements:\nDiploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field.\nMinimum 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.\nStrong experience in process improvement, equipment troubleshooting, and problem solving.\nKnowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies and statistical analysis tools.\nExperience in product transfer, process validation, and NPI activities is an added advantage.\nhotonics or fiber optic manufacturing experience will be an added advantage.\nStrong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.\nAbout Us\nAs a global medical technology leader for more than 40 years, our mission at Boston Scientific (NYSE: BSX) is to transform lives through innovative medical solutions that improve the health of patients.
