As part of the R&D team, you will be responsible for the definition, verification and validation of imaging-based products. Come grow your career us!\nJob responsibilities:\nApplies project management principles to plan, track, execute and report status of projects\nDevelop product requirements\nReview electrical, mechanical and optical designs and changes to ensure development of appropriate test methods\nDefine strategy and perform product design and testing that will comply with electrical safety standards and medical device regulations\nDevelop and execute test methods and fixtures for design verification\nDefine and execute test plans to support design verification\nWork closely with Mechanical, Electrical and Optical Engineers to develop opto-electromechanical test methods\nProvide electronic and system level troubleshooting of prototype devices to aid product development\nWork as a “hands-on” Engineer in performing troubleshooting on new products/process problems as related to design, material, or process.\nConduct feasibility studies to verify capability and functionality or to assess existing technologies\nSolve complex problems and make sound design recommendations\nSummarize, analyze, and draw conclusions from complex test results\nPrepare complex reports and communicate results a wide range of audiences\nResponsible for engineering documentation\nProactively builds relationships and collaborates with cross-functional partners to ensure technical deliverables meet stakeholder needs\nIdentifies and builds relationships with external device manufacturers\nJob Requirements:\nCandidate process at least Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field (computer, software, systems)\nAt least 8 years in product development\nProficient with system engineering principles\nIn depth knowledge of design verification for a regulated industry\nProficiency with lab equipment including power supplies, oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum/signal/logic analyzers\nEffective communications/presentation skills to all levels of the organization (both written and verbal)\nExperience working within Design Controls or equivalent for Medical Device Industry\nElectrical safety (IEC 60601-1), HF (IEC 60601-2-2) and EMI/EMC (60601-1-2) standards experience\n10-20% travel, including international\nPreferred Qualifications:\nMedical device experience\nMaster’s or Ph.D degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field (computer, software, systems)\nClinical and technical knowledge of imaging based medical devices\nProficient with electrical engineering, optics and bioinstrumentation principal\nAbout Us\nAs a global medical technology leader for more than 45 years, our mission at Boston Scientific (NYSE: BSX) is to transform lives through innovative medical solutions that improve the health of patients.
