Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.\nYour responsibilities will include:\nArchitecture, development, and deployment of software/system solutions for BSC Urology’s Class-II/Class-III medical devices \nProvide leadership in implementing efficient, maintainable software/system development processes, tools, and workflows \nCollaboration with high-performing software/system teams, fostering an engineering culture that prioritizes individual growth and shared accountability \nRequired qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Systems Engineering or a related technical discipline\n3+ years of software/systems development experience working on medical devices or similarly regulated safety-critical systems (i.e. aerospace, automotive) \nExperience with safety-critical development lifecycle, including architecture/requirements definition, design implementation/testing, release documentation, and post-market support \nExperience working with project management/SMEs to plan work-breakdown structures and predictably execute functional milestones \nFamiliarity with use of AI tools for productivity (i.e. M365 Copilot, ChatGPT) and/or software development (i.e. Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot) \nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with medical device industry standards (i.e. IEC 62304, ISO 14971) \nFamiliarity with medical device risk assessment methodologies and cybersecurity activities (i.e. DFMEA, Hazard Analysis, threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing) \nExperience with source control, CI/CD, and requirements management tools (i.e. Git, Bitbucket, JIRA, Jenkins, Cockpit) \n3+ years of software development experience, with proficiency in C++11 or newer \nExperience with fundamentals of Linux-based OS architectures (i.e. concurrency, memory management, resource utilization) \nRequisition ID: 635654\nMinimum Salary: $ 82100\nMaximum Salary: $ 156000\nThe anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) - see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com- will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role.
