This role will use a variety of new and proven technologies to deliver life-changing medical devices to patients and clinicians in support of Boston Scientific’s mission.\nWork model, sponsorship, relocation:\nThis is an on-site assigned role requiring employees to work from our Maple Grove, MN location. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.\nYour responsibilities will include:\nSupport the integration of renal denervation capital equipment, including design, development, compliance and end-of-life (EOL) sustainment.\nHelp define compliance strategies for IEC 60601-1, IEC 60601-1-2, IEC 60601-2-62 and other applicable medical electrical safety standards.\nPerform compliance testing and author test protocols and reports.\nCreate schematics, layouts, bills of materials (BOMs) and other design outputs as needed using Altium Designer.\nSimulate circuits using PSpice or similar software.\nProvide clear communication to stakeholders, including senior leadership, regarding project updates and risk management.\nAssist with creating and updating electrical lab equipment qualifications, test methods, test method validations, protocols and reports.\nResearch, develop, design and test electrical components, equipment, software systems and networks.\nLeverage internal and external partners as necessary to achieve project objectives.\nCollaborate with Process Development, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical and Marketing teams on complex projects to help ensure project success.\nTrain and provide work direction to technicians, interns and other engineers as necessary.\nSolve engineering problems by analyzing situations and recommending corrective or alternative actions.\nInvestigate, research and select components, tools, equipment and best practices.\nDemonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance with all documented quality processes and procedures.\nRequired qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a similar engineering discipline.\nMinimum of 5 years’ relevant electrical engineering experience with a bachelor’s degree or minimum of 3 years’ relevant electrical engineering experience with a master’s degree.\nExperience with medical standards compliance, including IEC 60601-1 and IEC 60601-1-2.\nPreferred qualifications:\nSelf-starter with the initiative to engage cross-functional team members and facilitate design changes.\nExcellent organizational, communication and collaboration skills.\nExperience with medical device design control processes and documentation, including Windchill.\nExperience designing and testing electromechanical systems and accessories.\nExperience with ablation systems using radio frequency (RF), ultrasound or related technologies.\nExperience with data analysis and automated test development using tools such as LabVIEW, MATLAB or Python.\nExperience with CAD drawings, electrical schematics, BOM management and manufacturing or supplier transfers.\nRequisition ID: 633345\nMinimum Salary: $ 85000\nMaximum Salary: $ 161500\nThe anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) - see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com- will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role.
