Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.\nYour responsibilities will include:\nLead team through design, implementation, documentation, testing and support of medical device firmware.\nCommunicate project status, progress and potential risks to internal stakeholders on a regular basis.\nAssign tasks, establish priorities and track team progress using Agile methodologies.\nDocument firmware development activities in accordance with approved procedures and standards.\nAnalyze, evaluate and verify firmware and system requirements using established firmware engineering best practices.\nIdentify and implement process improvements by collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows and development methodologies.\nProvide technical guidance and support to team members to achieve project goals, deliverables and timelines.\nMentor junior engineers in hardware and firmware engineering practices, methodologies and domain knowledge.\nParticipate in design and development reviews to ensure technical quality and compliance with established standards.\nRequired qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering or a related field.\nMinimum of six years' relevant work experience with a bachelor's degree, four years with a master's degree or two years with a doctorate.\nExperience developing firmware within the medical device industry.\nProficiency in developing bare-metal firmware for ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers.\nDemonstrated ability to document firmware development deliverables in compliance with IEC 62304 and applicable FDA guidance.\nStrong programming skills in C and C++.\nProven ability to lead firmware development teams using Agile methodologies.\nExperience collaborating on projects involving cross-functional engineering teams.\nPreferred qualifications:\nFamiliarity with the Atlassian tool suite.\nHands-on experience debugging hardware using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and JTAG interfaces.\nWorking knowledge of interrupt service routines (ISRs), direct memory access (DMA), real-time operating systems (RTOS) and control theory.\nExperience developing firmware to enhance product security.\nAbility to develop firmware that interfaces with custom hardware components.\nKnowledge of automation frameworks for firmware builds and testing.\nExperience leveraging artificial intelligence tools to improve development productivity and code quality.\nRequisition ID: 636034\nMinimum Salary: $ 85000\nMaximum Salary: $ 161500\nThe anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) - see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com- will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role.
