If you want real ownership over a problem that matters, we should talk.\nRole Overview\nThe Python Developer will be responsible for building and maintaining features, libraries, and services of BotCity’s platform, delivering clean, tested, and secure Python code. The ideal professional has solid Python fundamentals, enjoys learning, and works collaboratively with senior engineers, Product, and QA to ship reliable software, growing in autonomy and technical depth over time. This role reports to VP of Enineering.\nResponsibilities\nDevelop, test, and maintain Python libraries, modules, and services used by enterprise clients worldwide.\nWrite secure code and keep dependencies up to date and free of known vulnerabilities.\nFollow the team's Python coding conventions, linters, static analysis, and architectural guidelines.\nParticipate in code reviews, giving constructive feedback and incorporating the feedback received.\nWrite and maintain automated tests, keeping CI pipelines green.\nWork collaboratively with Product, QA, DevOps, and other engineers to translate requirements into reliable, maintainable implementations.\nDebug and fix issues, including performance and memory problems.\nContribute to technical discussions on API design, data models, and integrations.\nKeep learning the Python ecosystem and suggest improvements to tools and practices.\nDocument features, modules, and technical decisions.\nShare what you learn through pairing, docs and internal talks.\nRequisitos\nRequired Qualifications\nDegree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field\nProfessional experience (3+ years) with Python development, delivering features in production environments\nSolid knowledge of Python, including OOP, data structures, error handling, type hints, and the standard library\nExperience with Python packaging, virtual environments, and dependency management (uv, pip, poetry or conda)\nExperience writing automated tests (pytest or unittest) and working with Git, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines\nExperience with Python language internals, decorators, concurrency, threading/async, and memory management\nExperience with Linux and comfortable with the command line\nSolid knowledge of Git and GitHub\nExperience working with MS Office/Excel, Google Suite, Notion\nAbility to travel as needed to support events and meet the team\nExperience with Rust and integrating Python with Rust\nContributions to open-source Python projects\nExperience with relational (e.g. PostgreSQL) and non-relational databases and ORM tools\nExperience with containers (Docker)\nPrior experience in an early-stage, high-growth, and fast-paced startup environment\nPortuguese -
