In this role, you will lead the technical detailing, shop drawing preparation, and multidisciplinary coordination for complex architectural glazing projects. You will act as a pivotal link between design concepts, architectural specifications, structural engineering, and shop floor manufacturing.\nThe ideal candidate is a collaborative lead designer/technologist with deep expertise in unitized and stick curtain wall systems, storefronts, and architectural metal cladding, possessing strong skills in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.\nWhat You’ll Do\nLead and coordinate the preparation of complete architectural shop drawing packages, structural connection details, glass schedules, and anchor layouts.\nUtilize Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD to generate parametric 3D models, die profiles, assembly drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and fabrication cut sheets for shop production.\nCoordinate architectural glazing designs with structural, mechanical, civil, and building envelope consultants to resolve site conditions and structural loads.\nReview and respond to RFIs, architectural revisions, addenda, shop drawings, submittals, and construction-phase documentation.\nAssist with project schedules, deliverables, and coordination efforts to meet project deadlines.\nParticipate in project meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams.\nRespond to technical questions and assist with the resolution of design and construction issues.\nConduct site visits and assist with field observations and documentation.\nSupport the Project Manager and drafting team throughout all phases of the project.\nMentor and provide guidance to junior staff as appropriate.\nHelp maintain office standards, drawing standards, templates, and project documentation procedures.\nEnsure work complies with applicable building codes, zoning requirements, accessibility standards, and other regulations.\nWhat You Bring to the Team\nCollege Diploma or University Degree in Architectural Technology, Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline. \n5+ years of direct professional experience in architectural glazing, curtain wall detailing, or building envelope manufacturing.\nStrong working knowledge of commercial glazing systems (unitized/stick curtain wall, window wall, skylights, interior glass, metal panels), rainscreen principles, thermal performance, and air/water barrier integration.\nExperience coordinating multidisciplinary project teams and consultants.\nSolid understanding of building codes (OBC/NBC), structural deflection criteria, and wind-load considerations.\nExcellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines effectively.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality.\nAbility to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.\nExcellent verbal and written technical communication skills for liaising with Project Managers, architects, engineers, and shop personnel.\nProficiency in Autodesk Inventor (3D parametric assemblies/part modeling) and AutoCAD (2D detailing and layout).\nExperience with project collaboration and document-management platforms is an asset.\nProficient in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Teams, Outlook) and PDF markup software (Bluebeam Revu).\nFamiliarity with Revit / BIM coordination workflows.\nRole Snapshot\nLocation: Head Office - 6675 Rexwood Rd, Mississauga, ON L4V 1V1\nType: Full-Time, Onsite\nHours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.\nPay Schedule: Paid bi-weekly, every second Friday\nSalary: $90,000 - $100,000 (Based on experience)\nReports To: Glazing Manager \nVacancy Reason: Existing Vacancy\nNumber of Positions: 1\nWhy Join Bothwell-Accurate?\nReal opportunities to grow and advance\nA team that supports you like family\nCompetitive benefits that grow with you\nBi-weekly pay you can count on\nWork on high-profile, high-impact projects\nWhere your work shapes skylines, and your growth shapes your career.\nBothwell-Accurate Co.
