As a senior member of the engineering team, you’ll own features end to end, from design to production, and help set the technical direction of our AI agent platform. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to design, build, and maintain scalable applications, using your experience to solve complex problems while raising the bar on code quality and performance across the team.\nResponsibilities\nLead the design, development, testing, and deployment of customer-impacting features\nMake architecture and technical decisions for scalable, reliable systems\nCollaborate with product managers and UX/UI designers to define and implement new features\nConduct code reviews and mentor engineers to ensure best practices and continuous improvement\nTake ownership of troubleshooting and debugging complex production issues\nStay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation within the team\nRequirements\n5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, ideally in a fast-paced product environment\nExpert proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and frameworks like React\nA track record of designing and shipping complex systems at scale\nDeep understanding of software development principles, patterns, and methodologies\nExperience with cloud technologies (AWS) is a plus\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nExperience mentoring other engineers and leading technical projects\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders\nA passion for exploring new technologies and a desire to contribute to a rapidly evolving product\nAn enthusiastic team player driven to achieve results and contribute to the overall success of Botpress\nAbout Botpress\nBotpress raised a $25 million Series B round in 2025.
