If you're dedicated to delighting customers and promoting growth and innovation - we want you on our team!\nService Delivery - Implementation Consultant \nDepartment: Service Delivery \nLocation: Theale (Hybrid) \nReporting To: Implementation Services Delivery Manager \nPlease note that this is an entry level role\nThe role is based in Theale, Reading and would require 3 days' attendance per week.\nJob Summary \nThe Implementation Consultant: \nis responsible for the delivery of technical orders for Bottomline’s payments customers. \nwill install, configure and test products on customer environments. \nwill develop customer workflows, profiles or mapping templates as needed. \nmust routinely deliver project work that conforms to the defined best practices in line with delivery quality models. \nmust communicate effectively between both internal channels (project office, account managers, other implementation consultants) and external customers. \nJob Responsibilities \nInstallation of payments solutions and configuring applications in Customers’ environments following the standard process (remotely via Microsoft Teams or on-site as required). \nData file validation. \nBuilding of Bacs Applications, Cheque profiles and Webforms. \nMigration of existing Direct Debit Management / Cheques to our cloud-based solutions. \nCustomer Solution Training. \nCustomer Support (Go-live support, UAT support). \nTroubleshooting and fault finding of deployed solutions. \nDevelopment tasks will involve the use of in-house scripts, templates and tools, alongside Microsoft Windows and database technologies. \nProviding advice and consultancy to Project Office staff and customers. \nTesting development packages (including the completion of test evidence and sign-off forms). \nTesting of deployment packages and troubleshooting of issues for pre-live project implementations. \nCustomers \nDelight our customers by: \nEnsuring that the delivered scope of works is sufficient to complete the work requested by the customer; identifying any ambiguities and presenting these clearly to the project office or directly to the customer. \nEnsuring that scheduled jobs are dealt with promptly to the departmental service levels. \nEnsuring all data file checks are responded to promptly in line with the departmental service levels. \nProviding high quality, consistent output in line with agreed best practice processes. \nCommit to a ‘right first time’ approach. \nTeamwork \nWork together by: \nSupporting the Implementation Consultants and Project Office teams. \nInterpreting and communicating activities in a clear manner. \nWhere required, educating and training other team members on specific technical skills. \nInnovate \nInnovating by: \nParticipating in peer review of tasks, challenging and reviewing best practices. \nEngaging with new project work. \nDeveloping knowledge of new methods and tools that are applicable to the role and the business. \nImprove (KPI’s) \nConstantly improving by: \nParticipating in peer review of development deliverables, challenging and reviewing best practices. \nTaking ownership of a particular development skillset as the primary consultant. \nContinuing to challenge personal ability throughout the role. \nInitial Technical Requirements \nThe following initial technical knowledge is required for the role: \nWindows Server Operating Systems. \nGeneral understanding of project workflow. \nGeneral familiarity of databases. \nGeneral understanding of software development and implementation processes. \nPlease note that this is an entry level role\nThe role is based in Theale, Reading and would require 3 days' attendance per week.\nSupplementary Technical Requirements \nThe following software tools will be used during the role so any additional knowledge of these would be beneficial, but not mandatory, as would be developed during the role: \nMicrosoft Teams \nVMWare Workstation. \nAny knowledge of HSMs, certificates and PKI technologies. \nNetworking: Any exposure to network concepts and services would be beneficial, e.g.Proxy Servers and Firewalls. \nOther Requirements \n1 - 3 years’ experience in Service Delivery or Technical Support. \nAbility to communicate at varying levels of technical detail with customers & other colleagues in one-on-one and group situations. \nCapable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. \nCapacity for problem solving and decision making. \nBe a team player but able to work on own initiative. \nHave the ability to plan and prioritisetheir own work. \nA responsible attitude.
