Working as part of the UK Platform Operations team, you will be responsible for platform availability, incident management, application deployments, monitoring, automation and technical troubleshooting across our production environments.\nThis role sits at the intersection of Platform Operations, DevOps and Application Support, requiring someone who can support both operational activities and complex technical investigations. You will work closely with global Engineering, DevOps and Support teams to deliver secure, scalable and highly available services.\nThe ideal candidate will have strong Azure and cloud operations experience, a passion for automation, and the ability to troubleshoot issues across applications, infrastructure, databases and authentication services.\nHow You'll Contribute\nMonitor and support production SaaS platforms to ensure availability, performance and reliability.\nInvestigate and resolve platform, deployment, application and authentication issues, including SSO-related incidents.\nExecute and support application deployments, configuration changes and release activities.\nCreate, maintain and improve operational runbooks, recovery procedures and standard operating processes.\nConfigure and optimise monitoring and alerting to improve incident detection and response.\nDrive automation initiatives to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency.\nCollaborate with Engineering and DevOps teams to improve platform resilience and release quality.\nProduce availability and operational reporting, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.\nSupport audit, compliance and security activities across the platform estate.\nParticipate in an out-of-hours on-call rota and support incident recovery activities.\nEssential Skills\nExperience supporting cloud-hosted SaaS applications in a production environment.\nStrong Microsoft Azure experience, including services such as AKS, App Services, Networking, Storage, Key Vault, Azure Monitor and ACR.\nExperience troubleshooting distributed applications, cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines.\nLinux and Windows administration experience.\nExperience working with SQL Server and PostgreSQL.\nExperience with Docker, Kubernetes and Helm.\nScripting and automation experience using PowerShell, Bash or Python.\nExperience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Bicep.\nExperience configuring monitoring and alerting tools such as Grafana, Elastic or Azure Monitor.\nStrong troubleshooting, debugging and root-cause analysis skills.\nExperience supporting APIs, integrations and authentication technologies, including SSO.\nAbility to create and maintain operational procedures and runbooks.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills.\n\nDesirable Skills\nExperience with C#/.NET applications.\nExperience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions or other CI/CD tooling.\nExperience with Web Application Firewalls (WAF).\nExperience supporting regulated environments, audits and compliance initiatives.\nFamiliarity with Azure OpenAI, RAG or other AI-powered engineering tools.\nExperience using GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted development tools.\nWhat Success Looks Like\nHighly available, secure and reliable SaaS platforms.\nFast and effective incident response and recovery.\nImproved automation and reduced operational overhead.\nStrong collaboration across Operations, Engineering and Support teams.\nWell-documented, repeatable operational processes.\nContinuous improvement in platform reliability, scalability and customer experience.\nWe welcome talent at all career stages and are dedicated to understanding and supporting additional needs.
