You'll evolve our platform into a scalable, highly available foundation that supports our growth across small businesses, franchises, and enterprises.\nYou'll lead a team of infrastructure and reliability engineers and set the technical strategy for our cloud, DevOps, and platform capabilities. Your work gives our Engineering and Data teams the self-service foundations they need to ship APIs, products, and data capabilities at scale.\nHere, the connection between your work and its impact is never abstract. This role is fully remote within the U.S.\nWhat you'll do here:\nDefine and carry out the long-term infrastructure and security strategy so our platform stays scalable, reliable, and secure as we grow.\nLead, mentor, and grow a team of infrastructure and reliability engineers, and build a culture of operational excellence.\nLead our migration to Amazon EKS and bring containerized and service-ready architecture to the platform.\nDesign and implement multi-region, hot-hot disaster recovery with automated failover, load balancing, and regular testing.\nModernize our CI/CD pipelines and scale Terraform and GitOps practices to create self-service infrastructure.\nStrengthen monitoring, alerting, and incident response with Datadog so we catch and fix issues early.\nDrive architectural decisions across cloud infrastructure, security systems, and operations, including scaling our database architecture beyond current RDS limits.\nPartner with Product, Services, and Data Engineering, and keep us compliant with PCI, HIPAA, and SOC 2.\nWhat you'll need to thrive:\n10+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure and platform engineering, including 5+ years leading infrastructure teams of 5-15 engineers.\nDeep experience with AWS, including EKS, RDS, VPC, and IAM, and infrastructure automation with Terraform.\nProven experience migrating applications to Kubernetes/EKS and implementing container-based architectures.\nStrong background in security practices, compliance frameworks (PCI, HIPAA, SOC 2), and security automation.\nExperience transforming CI/CD pipelines, implementing GitOps practices, and enabling rapid software delivery.\nExpertise with monitoring and observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana) and building thoughtful alerting strategies.\nA track record of working with Product Engineering, Data Engineering, and Platform Services teams to enable their technical initiatives.\nHow we'll take care of you:\nAt Boulevard, we work hard to structure compensation in a way that balances internal equity with local market competitiveness, and we're happy to share a good-faith estimate of the base salary range for this role. For candidates in NYC, the SF Bay Area, and Seattle, the anticipated base salary range is $262,000 - $314,000 per year. For all other U.S. locations, the anticipated base salary range is $220,000 - $270,000 per year. In addition to this base compensation, this role may be eligible to participate in a variable compensation program.
