You'll balance technical leadership with people management, fostering a culture of excellence while delivering products that help salons, spas, and medspas run smarter and grow faster.\nOur engineering teams build scalable, reliable, and user-centric solutions across customer engagement, commerce, scheduling, and core platform capabilities. You'll play a key role in shaping the future of our product and technology, and you'll see the impact of your work every day.\nWhat you'll do here:\nLead and develop a team of 5-8 engineers across a range of experience levels.\nHold regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development planning.\nPartner with Product Management and Design to define and deliver the team roadmap.\nDrive technical excellence through code reviews and architectural guidance, staying hands-on where it helps your team.\nBuild a team culture centered on collaboration and growth.\nManage team delivery by removing blockers and making sure work lands well.\nHelp hire, interview, and onboard new teammates.\nJoin the on-call rotation and lead incident response when needed.\nWhat you'll need to thrive:\n5+ years of software development experience, including 2+ years of people management.\nProven ability to lead and develop engineering teams, with a track record of building inclusive, high-performing teams.\nStrong technical background and the ability to provide architectural guidance.\nExperience with agile development and delivery management.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills.\nAbility to navigate ambiguity and bring clarity to your team.\nExperience managing remote teams and collaborating asynchronously.\nA plus: experience in B2B SaaS or marketing platforms; a background in payment systems, scheduling, or commerce platforms; experience with Elixir, React, or similar technologies; an MBA or advanced degree in a related field.\nHow we'll take care of you:\nAt Boulevard, we work hard to structure compensation in a way that balances internal equity with local market competitiveness, and we're happy to share a good-faith estimate of the base salary range for this role. For candidates in NYC, the SF Bay Area, and Seattle, the anticipated base salary range is $173,000-$216,500 per year. For all other U.S. locations, the anticipated base salary range is $153,500-$211,200 per year. For candidates in Canada, the anticipated base salary range is CAD $186,200-$233,000 per year. In addition to this base compensation, this role may be eligible to participate in a variable compensation program.
