Working closely with the Development Principal, you'll lead daily project execution while mentoring Development Coordinators and Associates. You collaborate with Finance, Design, Construction, Operations, and other internal Development Teams to deliver exceptional project outcomes.\nWhat We Are Looking For\nThe ideal candidate is consistently successful in competitive and challenging environments and enjoys leading complex development projects where success depends on disciplined execution, sound judgment, and strong collaboration.\nSkills\nCommercial real estate, mixed-use or residential development and project management experience \nFinancial analysis and development pro forma experience \nStrong organizational and project planning skills \nExcellent written and verbal communication \nAbility to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities \nExperience managing project budgets, schedules, and control documents \nStrong negotiation and relationship-building skills \nCharacteristics\nOwnership mentality with strong accountability \nAnalytical and solutions-oriented \nProactive communicator who anticipates challenges \nCollaborative leader who builds trust across teams \nHigh integrity and professional judgment \nAdaptable in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment\nHow You'll Spend Your Time Here\nLead the day-to-day execution of development projects under the direction of the Development Principal. \nCoordinate internal and external project teams to deliver projects on schedule, within budget, and aligned with project objectives. \nManage project control documents, including schedules, site plans, budgets, pro formas, and key development assumptions. \nDrive market definition, project programming, due diligence, and acquisition activities. \nOversee design, permitting, construction coordination, and quality throughout project execution. \nMonitor project performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies. \nPartner with Finance to support capitalization, forecasting, reporting, and project financial performance. \nNegotiate legal documents and other development agreements, subject to Development Principal approval. \nMentor Development Coordinators and Development Associates while fostering collaboration across the project team. \nCommunicate project status, risks, and recommendations to executive leadership.\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. \n5+ years of progressively responsible experience in commercial real estate development, project management, or related discipline. \nExperience leading commercial, mixed-use, retail, office, hospitality, or residential development projects through multiple phases of the development lifecycle. \nStrong understanding of project financial analysis, budgeting, scheduling, design coordination, permitting, and construction management. \nExperience collaborating with architects, engineers, contractors, municipalities, consultants, lenders, and equity partners. \nArizona Real Estate License or ability to obtain one preferred.\nAt Bourn Companies, we believe great development projects are built by great people.
