The Senior Building Services Manager is responsible for providing leadership, management, and excellence across all engineering services. This role ensures that mechanical and electrical (M&E) services are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, to cost, and to the high standards required by the business and associated stakeholders. You will integrate with multi-disciplinary project teams throughout the project lifecycle-from procurement and construction through to completion and close-out.\nKey responsibilities:\nThis role is responsible for oversight and management of the Building Services function, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compliant M&E systems across the business unit or region. \nThe Senior Building Services Manager manages and mentors the Building Services team, and ensures that all construction operations adhere to safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. \nThey drive continuous improvement in commissioning and handover processes, coordinate with commercial teams to manage cost control, value engineering, and potential disputes related to M&E scope, and review all major subcontractor technical submissions, samples, and mock-ups before client presentation. \nThe role further includes managing and maintaining key relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including the client, design team, and supply chain at a strategic level. \nThey attend and contribute to executive-level reporting processes (e.g., Project in Delivery, or PID), communicate lessons learned to the projects and the wider business to enhance future performance, and ensure that appropriate, talented resources are available by actively recruiting and managing talent within the Building Services discipline. \nThis position demonstrates leadership in promoting an Incident and Injury Free climate and actively contributes to the business's Safety, Health, and Environmental Leadership Team (SHELT). \nEssential Credentials:\nAppropriate CSCS card for the role \nPreferably qualified with a degree in building services, or mechanical or electrical engineering, will consider relevant HNC or HND qualifications. \nProfessional memberships; CIOB, RICS, CIBSE or similar affiliation. \nEducated to degree level or equivalent.
