The work you do will have an immediate and lasting impact on the productivity of millions of users, at some of the most important enterprises of our time.\nWHAT YOU'LL DO\nDesign and implement scalable services with a focus on reliability, observability, operability and efficiency.\nCollaborate with partner teams and domain architects on system design and services integration.\nBe heavily involved in defining the vision and assembling feature roadmaps.\nWork with cutting-edge technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, BigTable, and Istio.\nStrengthen engineering processes, principles, and culture within the team and across Box, by championing a culture of learning, continuous improvement, and blameless retrospection.\nWe are an AI-first company. This means you approach your work with a growth mindset and find ways to leverage AI to help make faster, smarter decisions that will 10X your impact at Box.\nWHO YOU ARE \nYou have 4+ years of professional software development experience.\nProficient in Java, familiarity with other scripting languages like Python, Scala or PHP is a plus.\nProven ability to design, build, and deploy high-quality software.\nStrong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, software design principles, and object-oriented programming.\nSkilled in designing and developing APIs.\nFamiliarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB preferred.\nPassionate about new technologies with the capability to implement them in existing products.\nProficiency in spoken and written English.\nBONUS POINTS FOR\nExperience working with message queues and/or streaming data systems like Kafka/PubSub.\nExperience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Service (AWS) or Azure.\nExperience deploying and operating microservices on Kubernetes.\nMETHODOLOGY\nAgile management - Scrum\nIssue tracking tool - Jira\nKnowledge repository - Confluence\nCode reviews - GitHub Enterprise\nVersion control system - GIT\nBox lives its values, with community and in-person collaboration being a core part of our culture.
