In the current iteration, it's used to organize, discover, annotate, secure, and retain content. You'll have the opportunity to work with a team of talented, collaborative, and fun engineers, solving some of the toughest challenges, as we build out the future of intelligent content management in the cloud. The work you do will have an immediate and lasting impact on the productivity of millions of users, at some of the most important enterprises of our time.\nWHAT YOU'LL DO \nLead design and implementation efforts for new components of our platform, from the ground up.\nCollaborate with partner teams and domain architects on system design and services integration.\nDesign and implement scalable services with a focus on reliability, observability, operability and efficiency.\nWork with cutting-edge technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, BigTable, Elasticsearch, Spark and Istio.\nBe heavily involved in defining the vision and assembling feature roadmaps.\nMentor other engineers and contribute to team growth and development.\nStrengthen engineering processes, principles, and culture within the team and across Box, by championing a culture of learning, continuous improvement, and blameless retrospection.\nWe are an AI-first company. This means you approach your work with a growth mindset and find ways to leverage AI to help make faster, smarter decisions that will 10X your impact at Box.\nWHO YOU ARE \nYou have 3+ years of professional software development experience.\nYou are fluent in expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and one of modern JavaScript frameworks (React or Vue).\nYou have strong HTML/CSS knowledge with responsive UIs, state management, accessibility, performance, and security basics.\nHaving some backend coding experience with Node.js is required, and proficiency will be a big advantage.\nGood understanding of scalability and observability practices.\nAbility to design, build, and deploy high-quality software is a must.\nYou have experience in mentoring and coaching engineers and provide technical feedback.\nProficiency in spoken and written English.\nBONUS POINTS FOR\nYou have experience deploying and operating microservices in a cloud environment.\nExperience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Service (AWS) or Azure.\nMETHODOLOGY\nAgile management - Scrum\nIssue tracking tool - Jira\nKnowledge repository - Confluence\nCode reviews - GitHub Enterprise\nVersion control system - GIT\nBox lives its values, with community and in-person collaboration being a core part of our culture.
