Our technology operates within some of the UK’s biggest stadiums, arenas, hospitality venues and live environments, and our Draught Dispense Technicians play an important role in keeping those systems operating at their best.\nAs our Draught Dispense Technician for the South, you will be responsible for supporting Boxbar equipment and associated draught dispense systems across your region.\nThis is a field-based role, travelling primarily from home directly to customer venues to carry out planned servicing, preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, repairs and technical support.\nYou will become a trusted technical point of contact for customers across your territory, helping maximise equipment uptime, maintain excellent dispense quality and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.\nAlongside your core servicing responsibilities, you will occasionally support new installations, commissioning and major live events where additional technical expertise is required.\nThis is not a Wakefield workshop-based position. You will manage your working territory from home using a company van, tools and equipment, with occasional visits to our Wakefield HQ for training, team meetings, all-hands sessions, equipment or parts collection and wider operational requirements.\nThis role would suit an experienced draught dispense or field-service technician who enjoys working independently, solving practical problems and building strong relationships with customers.\nKey Responsibilities\nField Servicing & Preventative Maintenance\nCarry out planned servicing and preventative maintenance of Boxbar equipment and draught dispense systems across customer locations in the South.\nComplete scheduled system inspections and identify potential faults, wear or reliability issues before they develop into operational problems.\nService and maintain dispense equipment, cooling systems, pumps, gas systems, pipework and associated components.\nEnsure systems are maintained to deliver consistently high-quality drinks from keg to tap.\nReplace worn or defective components where required.\nHelp reduce equipment downtime and prevent repeat service visits through high-quality diagnosis and maintenance.\nMaintain clear records of servicing undertaken, parts replaced and any follow-up work required.\nFault Finding & Repairs\nRespond to technical faults and customer service requirements across your region.\nDiagnose mechanical, electrical, cooling and dispense-related problems methodically.\nCarry out repairs efficiently and safely, aiming to achieve a first-time fix wherever practical.\nIdentify root causes rather than simply treating symptoms.\nTest equipment following repairs to ensure correct operation and dispense quality.\nEscalate complex or recurring technical issues to the Workshop Manager or relevant Technical Lead where appropriate.\nCommunicate clearly with internal teams where additional parts, engineering support or follow-up work is required.\nTerritory & Field Management\nTake responsibility for organising and completing assigned service work across your region.\nPlan journeys and site visits effectively to maximise productive field time.\nMaintain appropriate van stock of commonly required parts, consumables and technical equipment.\nIdentify replacement parts and replenishment requirements before stock becomes critical.\nEnsure tools, test equipment and company property are properly maintained and stored.\nKeep the company vehicle clean, organised and suitable for professional customer visits.\nCommunicate proactively if appointments, repairs or customer commitments are at risk.\nCustomer & Venue Support\nRepresent Boxbar professionally at customer sites and become a trusted technical contact for venue teams.\nBuild positive working relationships with customers, venue operators and site teams.\nExplain the correct operation, cleaning and basic care of installed equipment.\nProvide practical advice to venue teams to help maintain dispense quality and equipment reliability.\nExplain faults and completed repairs clearly without unnecessary technical jargon.\nKeep customers appropriately updated while work is being undertaken.\nEnsure sites are left clean, safe and operational following servicing or repair work.\nDeliver the high standard of service expected from the Boxbar brand.\nInstallation & Commissioning\nAlthough servicing and maintenance will be the primary focus of this position, you will also occasionally:\nSupport the installation of Boxbar and draught dispense equipment at new and existing customer locations.\nInstall and connect dispense components, pipework, cooling equipment and related systems.\nSupport commissioning and system testing before customer handover.\nEnsure equipment is configured correctly to deliver consistent drinks quality.\nWork alongside Boxbar colleagues, contractors and venue teams during installation projects.\nIdentify and resolve technical issues that arise during commissioning.\nSupport site surveys or technical assessments where required.\nLive Events & Operational Support\nFrom time to time, Boxbar requires additional technical support around major events and high-profile customer activity.\nYou may therefore occasionally:\nProvide technical support at stadiums, arenas, festivals and other live events.\nComplete pre-event system checks and testing.\nSupport venue teams before opening to ensure equipment is operational and ready for service.\nDiagnose and resolve technical issues during live operation where required.\nSupport deployments, de-rigs or equipment movements around selected events.\nWork occasional evenings or weekends where dictated by event schedules or operational requirements.\nLive event work will form a smaller part of this position than day-to-day servicing and maintenance, but flexibility around major customer requirements is important.\nDocumentation & Compliance\nComplete service records, job sheets and technical documentation accurately and promptly.\nRecord faults identified, repairs completed, parts used and outstanding actions.\nMaintain accurate records of customer equipment and servicing activity.\nFollow Boxbar health and safety procedures at all times.\nComply with venue-specific health, safety and operational requirements.\nComplete relevant risk assessments or site documentation where required.\nUse tools, equipment, vehicles and company property safely and responsibly.\nRaise safety concerns, operational risks or recurring technical issues promptly.\nWakefield HQ & Wider Team Support\nAlthough this is a field-based southern role, you will remain an important part of the wider Boxbar Technical Operations team.\nYou will occasionally be expected to:\nTravel to the Wakefield HQ for training and technical development.\nAttend company all-hands meetings and relevant team sessions.\nCollect specialist equipment, parts or replacement stock where required.\nSpend time with technical colleagues to develop knowledge of new Boxbar products and systems.\nSupport equipment preparation or other technical activities at Wakefield when genuinely required.\nShare field experience and customer feedback with the wider technical, product and operations teams.\nContinuous Improvement\nIdentify recurring faults and highlight opportunities to improve equipment reliability.\nShare practical feedback from customer sites with Technical Operations, Product and Engineering teams.\nSuggest improvements to servicing procedures, installation methods and field processes.\nApply lessons learned from previous service visits and installations.\nHelp improve technical documentation and troubleshooting guidance.\nTake part in relevant have:\nPrevious experience working within a field-service, maintenance, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, beverage equipment or similar technical environment.\nPractical experience servicing, maintaining, installing or repairing equipment.\nStrong mechanical aptitude and confidence using hand and power tools.\nGood fault-finding and problem-solving capability.\nAbility to work
